I think you should stop messaging her, and see her in person and tell her you like her and want to have sex with her in the context of a long term relationship.

You will probably get rejected ("I just want to be friends" is a rejection) and that will be for the best as it will shatter your ego and your dreamlike false reality you have created for yourself.If she says yes though, well that will be awesome and a pleasant surprise, and you can finally have sex with the girl you like and develop that into a relationship.

Well, I don't know how deep is your relationship with her but is OK if you like other women like celebrities and so. Sames as if she likes other guys/celebrities. My ex girlfriend had a crush on...Pitbull!!!! LOL I didn't care, but she got very pissed whenever I said something like "Damn, Jennifer Lopez is hot!"

That's the hole point, don't give it too much head or else you'll get jealous or distracted by unimportant stuff.

As for your situation, my advice is to start approaching her "the other way". Find how to approach romantically your girl best friend, other wise find someone else and move on.

Yeah man I’ve been in same position, and I can tell you there is a crucial time to act on your feelings before it’s too late. For you this is probably very soon, and trust me do it in person, even just outright kiss her if the tension is there.

Also if she recommends just being friends accept but distance yourself completely, after these interactions remaining friends with someone you like is torture. Trust me I know.

Not replying reeks of insecurity. Let me tell you a short story I had lately: There was this girl I was talking to in person, mostly short smalltalk and some banter and she gave me strong IOI's. I wasn't really in the mood to ask her out yet, so I played it slow. One day I meet her randomly and it happens so that she tells me randomly that she is scared to fall in love. Telling me about this guy and so on. We still exchange numbers, and I go about my day. Later she out of the blue texts me: "I don't want to fall in love..." you know what I replied? "Honey... This is going too fast for me, we don't even know each other, and I need my freedom...". She was not too amused at this, telling me she didn't talk about me but this other guy, while I was sitting there laughing my ass off... I also had to block her attempts to make me her emotional tampon. After a few days I told her to grab some drinks with me, to which she enthusiastically agreed, but then flaked the day before the proposed meet up. Fast forward a few weeks, I still meet her randomly, and she is still giving me a lot of IOI's, strong eye contact, always smiling at me, actively seeking me out, complimenting me and so on.

The point is that you should not care, and you care too much already. There are so many other attractive girls to pick.

Honestly if you consider her your best friend then you should decide if you are going to make a move or not, then do it. If you sit back and pine for her while doing nothing she will eventually end up with someone, whether it is this guy or not. When that happens, you’re probably gonna be a crappy friend that is wanting her relationship to fail. That’s not fair to her, since you are supposed to be her best friend.

If you decide to make a move, do it directly, in person. Ask her out making it clear that you want to see if you have some kind of romantic connection. If she says yes, awesome! Congrats, hopefully it works out. If she says she doesn’t see you that way and won’t, respect it and you two can still be friends. Just don’t be the guy who can’t get over it, move on it’s better for both of you.

If you decide to not go for it because you don’t want the slightest chance of risking friendship, then MOVE ON. Once again, accepting that you two are just friends and trying to get another girl is best for BOTH of you. You will be more sane and she can have a best friend without an ulterior motive that will hate when she is with someone.

As for this text, it doesn’t matter. Text back replying to it, text another convo, don’t text, literally makes zero difference. The fact that you are obsessing over it shows that you would probably be the bad friend who hates her S/O. Don’t be that guy, it’s miserable being that guy.
