I've been a member of this subreddit community for a while and have tried to contribute as much as I've taken away. So first of all, thank you guys!

Now, to the point of my post: I have no problem with my own game. What I am having problems with, however, is wingmanning. I've been playing the field for a bit and feel totally confident in my own PUA, but translating that in to being a good wingman is a whole different ball game.

One of my close friends is newly single, and he really needs to do get out there and practice talking to girls. He's not weird or anything, he has game, he just needs to shake the rust off.

We are going to a beer festival on Saturday and there will be tons of girls. He wants me to wingman for him, and I want to wingman for him, but he's got much more passive game than I do and sometimes I just want to take the lead. But that would end up making him the wingman if I'm leading all approaches and engagement, which I don't want. I want to boost my bro and would rather play the role of wingman than to take the lead and pickup the girls and play matchmaker. I want to sit shotgun while he picks up the girls he wants and I keep their friends occupied. I want to be the Goose to his Maverick.

Any tips? Any wingman strategies you can recommend to help?
