how to be 'fun'

Female in her 20's here. If a male 7 comes up to me and makes me laugh right away I'm sold over the 10 that seems really mellow and just asks me "hey, what's up?". Laughter is a great ice-breaker.

Basically interactions should be care free, and laughing/teasing makes everyone feel more comfortable. It shows you are easy going and don't care what people think of you (like if you do something stupid for laughs).

I love it when guys tease me or say something that makes me shocked. Hard to think of examples but I'll try:

-At a bar with my girls and a guy comes up and asks if he can put his drink on our table while he plays darts nearby. "Yeah that's fine!" "Woah you ladies have a lot of glasses there (we had just taken shots and each also had a chaser cup..plus a couple were left on the table from before, so light teasing that we are heavy drinkers.) "haha nooo we just took a shot it's her birthday!" "Ohh happy birthday- what's your name birthday girl?" Both of our groups of friends ended up hanging out the rest of the time.

If it's a sports bar, tease her about her team (but not too much cuz that can get annoying..) maybe joke and say you'll buy her a drink if she can name 5 people on the team that she's wearing a jersey for.

It always makes me laugh when guys approach me or my friends (so obviously they found us attractive enough) and then say something like oh but I'm gay (jokingly) or sarcastically act like they aren't into us.. maybe you would call it flipping gender roles? Like when guys act like we should buy them a drink or that they aren't "easy". It works if it's not overdone.

It not about being fun, it is more about being boring or like everyone else. Most people do not want to be interviewed.

The problem is that you know something, you just don't use it. It also about making educated guesses and testing them. Almost everything is situational.

Do I need some 'fun routines' or something? A deck of cards I carry around?

You need to learn how to read the situation and make a decision.

Assume I open with a 'funny' opener. Maybe a humerous comment on an item of clothing she has on

You are trying to do a routine. Those don't work. You need to be flexible.

Don't ask questions that it is a chore to answer, like, "How is your night?" Same with questions about her job (who wants to be reminded of work?). This stuff leads nowhere interesting, or even if it does she will be expecting it not to.

Something dumb like, "What are you drinking?" is far better: it's not fun or creative, but it has an easy answer and is about something enjoyable (drinking), plus it can easily lead to more chatting - "oh I like black russians too, ever tried a B52?"

The idea isn't to make the convo topic fun, just not unfun. The rest is in voice, eyes, kino, etc.
