Try assuming they have a boyfriend and work backwards but not in a way that attacks yourself.

"Oh my god... you are too funny. You have to have a boyfriend. Right?"

Alternatively,

"Your jokes are incredibly terrible. I can understand why you don't have a boyfriend now."

At raves I end up massaging girls (probably my strongest aspect going from talking to direct kino and more) I can typically get them moaning at which point I say something along the lines of "I hope you don't have a boyfriend with the way you're moaning" or "Shhh, your boyfriend might hear you moaning." That should clear up that question, unfortunately on one such occasion her girl friend didn't quite like that, too dumb founded by that to work on both.

You say that you waste a lot of time with "flirty girls". Imagine how much time you would save if you asked if they were single within a minute of meeting them.

Often when I approach girls, "are you single" is one of the first things out of my mouth.
