Unfortunately, but also fortunately, we cannot control others. Just try not to take it so personal. I know it's hard to hear. Truly it has more to do with them that they just disappear without a word than anything. I can't really give you any advice, in order for me to really be any help I'd want to see your phone and read through all previous messages to help you out. But I hope you find what you're looking for out there.

just sharing one of my experiences on okc, matched with this girl and we hit it off pretty well, proper long texts and stuff, she gave me her number after i asked and we started texting. after about a day i asked her to meet and she said she’s down on this date which was about a week later, and i said okay thats cool. so we’re texting and about 2 days later i asked if the date is confirmed, and she says she cant because she’s going out with her friends, and i was thinking “ah okay maybe it was cool if you had let me know instead of me having to ask.” after a while of texting she ghosts me. to others that have had roughly the same experience on dating apps, dont let stuff like this get you down, dont get too invested even though it seems like you guys are a match made in heaven because of the chemistry while texting. dont lose sleep over it and move on to the next one quick. when people have relatively good looks and they’re on dating apps, its mostly for an ego boost or they leave/ghost cause they probably found someone better looking, which is a given considering these dating apps are primarily based on looks. these things happen. good luck to all.

Do your own thing. "Hey I'm going out to ABC Bar, you're welcome to join if you want". DGAF if she joins or not, you're out having fun either way, doesnt depend on a companion.

Learn better text game and ask the girl out within the first 3-5 message so you don't waste your time.

Meet up up sooner. It won't stop all ghosting, but the longer you chat the higher the chance she'll get distracted or bored or whatever.

Talk on the phone or video chat to set yourself ahead of others. Set up a date/meet the first couple days of talking. If she isn't receptive to either idea then you know where you stand with her (at the bottom).

It's just going to happen. To lower the chances of it happening avoid having conversations over text and try to ask them out ASAP.

Girl here (25 yrs old). I’ve only had one bf (still currently with him for 6 hrs now). Before him though, when I would text guys I was interested in and before tinder was a thing, there was only one reason I would ghost someone. That one reason, was because they were too pushy and wouldn’t respect boundaries. What I mean by that is, only after a few weeks of texting, they would want nudes or they would want to get sexual. I’m not the type to do that. So what I would recommend if you are looking for something serious, is to not be pushy and respect their boundaries. Also, I don’t know your situation or if you’re even pushy. For all I know, you could be a complete gentleman. If that is the case, don’t waste your time with girls who ghost you. There will be a girl out there that is looking for a gentleman such as yourself. You’re worth it, and believe that.

Statistics from online dating: Only 30% of men actually get dates from online dating platforms and on average it takes a guy 143 messages to get one reply back. It's a numbers game online since there are 5 times more guys than women on there.

I've had dozens and doezens of online dates over the years and it's a numbers game. 1. Once you get a response, quickly build rapport and get their # as soon as possible. 2. Once you get their number you know they're comfortable with being asked on a date and schedule it asap before they lose interest and choose one of the other hundred guys messaging her to go out with and meet in person before you.

If you're getting ghosted likely another guy beat you to the in person date and peaked her interest most likely

For me personally, it’s because the dude makes me nervous or scared; guys can’t always handle rejection so well. I’ve had guys flip from nice to complete jerks just because I said I wasn’t interested. So now I don’t say anything.
