I have a GF, of about 6 months, who prefers sex about once a week. She has told me, point blank, that she would try to have sex more often than once a week for my sake, but that under normal circumstances she would prefer only once a week. What this has resulted in is a situation in which we only sometimes have sex twice a week. This is a problem for me. In addition to not getting sex as regularly as I would prefer, the rejection I get throughout the week makes me feel kind of inadequate.

Part of the problem is that we both work long hours, and can't see each other every day. But, I feel like the days that we do see each other would be frequent enough to satisfy me.

The sex itself is great. We keep it interesting, try new things, different positions etc. I've taken her on romantic weekend trips, we go out on dates regularly, we see friends, watch movies, and generally do the things that should be a part of a well-working relationship. We sleep with each other about 3 nights a week, and she even apologizes when I go for a week without sex. But, we still only sleep with each other once a week.

Am I stuck in a relationship where I only get laid once a week, or is there something I can do about this? Should I ramp up my game? I was pretty good at working the scene before I got into a relationship, but I feel like the game is different when you are in a committed relationship. Am I wrong? What can I do?
