I feel like an improvement i can be made to my social skills is to be more personal rather than professional. Within these conversations after the first few how are you's? I tend to just say "good" and that's it. And when i try to have my own personal input, the conversation doesn't lead much to anywhere. I always just tend to freeze up and not add anything in of value. It's more like one words especially if I don't know them all to well.

I think I'm decent at holding a conversation once a topic at hand is there. But I seriously do not know how to transition to another topic espeically at the start? I feel like I'm stressing the importance of saying the right things at the right time. Like what can i say after "how are you"

I can delve into topics to talk about. But i have no idea how to transition the topic from one point to another. And is it strange for me to talk about anything at all without context?

It feels like interview mode type bullshit. Theres this girl i've interacted with very basically and i still don't know where she's from/or her age? And i want to get to know more personal things about her next time i see her but i for the love of my mother cannot transition these topics/make it more personal

Would someone be able to help me with this?
