Last night I went out to do some evening game and go clubbing for the first time since COVID restrictions were lifted here in the UK.

First, a little about good ol' me. I have bad social anxiety and I'm not the sharpest when it comes to reading a room or social cues (though I'm a lot better than I was a couple years ago), and I normally observe people and go inside my head, especially when I'm out. Anyway, my friends decided to bail and I ended up going clubbing alone, as weird or as ballsy as some people think. I thought to myself "fuck it, nobody here knows me, and I'll never see them again anyway". My intention for the night was to just enjoy myself, because I had the feeling I wasn't going to pull so I might just enjoy the environment and the people inside.

Fast forward to 2 hours in and a couple of JD cokes and a few shots of sambuca, I put my middle finger up at my inhibitions and decided to dance. In the past I would try and dance but I realise it wasn't genuine and my sole intention for the night was to try to pull, and yeah...we can all guess how that ended up. But last night, I danced for the sake of it, I'm in a club and there's other lads dancing like a balloon being deflated, so what's my excuse? Because of this, I got a few girls looking at me for a few seconds, some even grinded on me, even though ot didn't go anywhere. I can say that when I got home in the morning I went to bed feeling content with myself.
