So this post is somewhat related to my last one. Anyways this girl I met out on a walk fuckin ghosted my ass.... that’s really all the context needed.

So I pull up to this house show and I’m kickin it hangin out. I’m not quite sure how to explain this, but a few different people were playing acoustic sets and then there was an open mic following the 2 sets played. I happened to be with a bunch of my band mates and I say fuck it I’m gonna get my ass up there and play some of the songs we’ve written. For context we’re a punk band, and I’ve never played anything acoustic in my life.

In the midst of waiting for my turn to play I walk out front of the house for a cig. Low and behold the girl who ghosted me is just standing out there like she’s on a random ass walk. We look at each other and both just fucking gut bust laugh. We chop it up everything is fine, and I ask her to come and watch me play a couple songs.

So anyways she does, everyone ends up enjoying my set, and I’m back talking to this girl. I basically realize that she’s a self absorbed non sensical human being. In the sense that everything I put into her airspace she doesn’t throw back to mine. Kinda like she thinks she knows it all and has nothing left to figure out with me even though we literally just met. Basically super cold when I’m just having fun. This is where the weird part kicks in... I just let that shit go. It’s weird to me because initially I felt we had a genuine connection, and I think thats rare to come by, but at the end of the day if this person isn’t gonna see my value I’m not gonna put in any effort. That entire night she had guys wrapped around her finger trying to get at her and I could tell she was just pulling the strings from above so I did what most don’t. I just removed myself from the situation. I went inside the house, started choppin it up with two other girls I’ve never met before, got 2 numbers, and got pretty close to going home with one of them 😎

Don’t be anyone’s puppet don’t get hung up on one girl if you’ve already shot your shot and she’s not reciprocating
