Feels like clubs/bars are just a completely different BEAST to clubs.

Social circle is EASY for me. Hanging out in school, just talking, teasing, being a bit of a dick. I know that with a bit of escalation, I can close with at least 50% of my highschool class. I also use pretty fucking heavy kino, and that helps. I'm always chatty, and I'm also pretty popular so I do have quite a bit of social proof.

But in clubs, all that shit seems to go out of the window. Maybe because I don't know everyone there and so I don't have that much social proof. But mostly I think that it's because the music is SO LOUD that no one can hear me say shit, and I can't hear anyone. So if at school, I want to say something to someone, I'll just say 'hi' when I'm about five metres away, and we can start talking. But in clubs, it seems like with randoms, I have to get right up to their faces, and that seems kind of awkward, to be that close physically so quickly.

It seems like clubs are much more presence/appearance oriented, whereas in social circle situations, because I can be HEARD, it's much more charisma oriented.

And maybe this is a mental block, but at clubs it seems like the mindset becomes 'girls girls girls can I get a hookup'. So the kino is driving towards a purpose, whereas in social circles situations I'm just kinoing because that's just the way I am (outcome independence blah blah blah). Whereas in social circle situations I'm just BEING MYSELF and just EXISTING (and simultaneously being awesome).

One more thing: girls just seem COMPLETELY different when they're got drinks in them. They've got some happy, but delayed reaction shit going on. I'm normally already quick-witted, so it feels a bit weird talking to them like that. It feels like my energy levels are lower than theirs. (Solution: drink a bit more?)

So, thoughts and solutions?

Maybe this is just something I have to learn as I go from highschool to uni...?
