This is the biggest sticking point for me. I do other kino just fine - hands on arms, legs, hips, draping their arms over my shoulders. But for some strange reason there's a mental block everytime I think about putting my arm around a girl. It seems like a big deal, and it seems unnatural, because it involves such a big motion (as opposed to just reaching my hand out to tap her on the leg).

  1. I don't know where it fits on the DiCarlo escalation ladder.

  2. Something just stops me from putting my arm around her. It's almost like I have to force myself to do it, and of course, that becomes unnatural and awkward. Do I just need more practice?

I don't know why, but it always feels like a big deal to have my arm around girl. Almost like only couples do it (solution: put my arm around my platonic female friends more as practice?)
