The "I have a boyfriend" line, along with "I'm a lesbian" basically translate as "I know you're hitting on me and I'm not interested." What it really means though is that you are coming on to her to fast and aggressively and need to chill.

If you've been having a mutual exchange up to this point but this is where you fail, then she isn't totally sold on either you or the notion of you 2 hanging out. Either need more rapport or need to paint a better picture of hanging out...instead of 'hey we should get coffee' try, "hey, sometimes I hang at this one spot...every now and then a jazz band comes in and plays, it's real chill"

I suppose there's also the chance that you smell bad or need a haircut, but you're here in this sub, so hopefully you've taken care of those problems by now.

I don't even know where to start.

What did you expect from calling her on it? Does getting called a liar turn you on? Put you in a romantic mood? Make you wet? Then why would expect it to do that for her?

From this, and your comments it really seems like you haven't considered the girl at all. It's like you are looking for a magic set of words to say to get into her pants.

Pickup is basically trying to influence a women's feelings towards you, and you are not even paying attention to those feelings. It's not a monologue, it's a conversation. And in a conversation, you have to listen.

If you can't put yourself in someone else's place, at least ask yourself "how would this make me feel?". If it would piss you off, or creep you out, it's probably not a pickup technique.

Seriously, stop and write down what you think is going through a women's head when you approach her. Spend some time. Is she happy, sad, scared, excited, worried, intrigued, offended?

Now, if it isn't positive (and it won't be, yet), think about how to change it up. What part of your routine can you vary to change the outcome from negative to positive?

When you open someone, PAY ATTENTION TO THEM. Look at the women and say "is this working?" Is her body language closed? Does she back away? Microexpressions negative?

Pay attention to the girl, dammit. That's where you get feedback. That's where you learn. NONE OF THIS WILL WORK without that.

Asking for the name only works on really drunk girls.....for the rest, the "I have a boyfriend" is an approved chick get him away from me without confrontation move.

Honestly the context is important.

Does it just come up in the conversation? If so, then she isn't even looking at your interaction as an attempt at picking her up...which is actually a good thing. If it is the response to an ask for numbers\date then best to be cool and move on. She isn't interested and is trying to eject without causing a uncomfortable response from you.

7 tenths of girls in the day will. But if you are getting it a lot in general youre probably being socially uncalibrated and the girls are probably just giving you a soft rejection. Focusing on the boyfriend thing is pointless. Just focus on getting better game in general. Obsessing over the whole bf thing is a waste of time and disrupting flow.

This response can either mean she has a boyfriend, or she's not that interested. However, it's not the end of the world.

If you maintain your frame, you can spark her interest. Say something like "cool, he can cook us breakfast tomorrow."

Or "good, if I get you pregnant, he can take care of the baby."

If she uses that line, you don't have much to lose with a witty response.
