I do think that a lot of the time, people mistake 'game' for good looks/instant attraction. Even with certain infields from people like Max or Alex where they sell it as 'invisible game'/natural game, it's really just not game at all. It's having a conversation with a girl and escalating. That's fine, but she'll only accept your escalation if she's attracted to you. Without their good looks, it wouldn't work. In some of Max's infields, girls open HIM, tell him he's cute etc, he bangs them, and then brags about his 'game'.

But there are people out there who actively implement game to the point where they are able to turn girls who don't want to talk to them into girls they get in bed. Who use certain techniques in order to 'create attraction' etc. Maybe that's what we need to get back too. The current 'model' (approach, be direct, escalate) only works for handsome dudes

I think the MM has always been defining the PUA world. Every system is either a variation of it, or a rejection of it (and thus defining it). If you look at early commercial products by RSD, it all starts with a rejection of MM and declares itself "natural game" and then goes on to define a structured game very similar to MM.

I still recommend the original definition of MM, "The Venusian Arts Handbook," which is long out of print but was widely circulated and is probably still available if you look around. The basic M3 Model asserts that all seductions go through three stages: Attraction, Comfort, and Seduction. Even if you don't consciously lead a woman through these steps, you are going through those steps nonetheless. You can stumble through it and if you don't blow it, you "get lucky." Or you can lead her through the steps and it seems natural to her because that's the way all her previous seductions worked.

From what I've seen, the biggest difference between day game and club game is direct approach vs. indirect. But it seems to me that a direct approach is just a variation of the Attract phase in the MM. Almost every woman is intrigued by an attractive approach, and you've got a couple of minutes of attraction from her, just due to the novelty of speaking to an unknown person and finding out about you. But what do you do after that?

Completely agree. I guess it kinda depends how you define "game" but if you have your life together and you're looking to improve with girls the Mystery Method / Neil Strauss stuff is by far and away the best way to improve your love life.

This!!!! A million times this!!! I can’t upvote it enough. I stop taking FR’s seriously the moment I see the “I look above average” or “ Girls tell me I’m hot” phrases. Well, manage the pick up girls when you are fat like me than tell me about your “Game”

if you ask me for beginners the best way to get to natural game is just fucking memorizing some routines, hands down
