This is a great question.. the key is keeping your vibe/swag regardless of the outcome.. One way you could try is, don't say anything. If you get an IOI from a girl such as strong eye contact, a warm smile, a nod or a wave then simply approach and hold out your hand to say, let's dance.

The trick is to force an IOI (more accurately solicit one) by smiling or waving at a girl first. If she reciprocates then you must have the confidence to not ASK for a dance, simply say, "Let's go" with your extended hand.

If she has peer-pressuring cockblock friends, you must ignore them and focus on your girl with laser eye contact. They don't exist as an obstacle in your world and if you draw your girl into your world they won't exist for her either.

If a friend tries to interrupt or cut in as you're taking her away just say something like, I'm taking her to dance, if you're a good girl you can be next. Take your girl by the hand then by the waist and it'll be like you're "already a couple".
