I'm curious what the community thinks about always using direct approaches.

It seems to me that most of the time a direct approach is the quickest way to polarizing a woman (just to clarify, a good thing): she either likes you in those first 5 seconds and now you two can get to know each other, or she doesn't, and you find out immediately and save yourself time. There's probably a very small chance you could have "gamed" her if you were indirect, but it's also probably not worth it.

Now, there are situations where it's probably not the best fit. Maybe you're in a line at Starbucks, and it's better to just do a situational approach, dropping hooks about bagels and frappuccinos first. Or maybe I'm wrong and it's still ok to be direct with her. I don't know, but I'd love to find out.

Do you always direct? What are some situations where you'd rather be indirect?

Cheers!
