Seriously, dude? A bar / lounge / club. You can get blown out by 20 groups a night and have that not make any difference whatsoever, it's like being in virtual reality. You could potentially do this during the day, but you need to find a super high traffic spot and be a bit more calibrated.

Me being a vagina sometimes, it gets me really irritated with myself. When I know nothing bad will happen to me if I sit in the set and wait for the girls / dudes to tell me to fuck off, but instead I leave early. There will be that one night of the month where I eject from a bunch of sets when totally unnecessary and then I proceed to lose energy and zest for all of my successive sets, making it a shitty session. Then I proceed to listen to my infield audio / write my FR and think to myself "st…

It's not the ideal environment for it. The girl's sober, late for work, is thinking about random bullshit that bothers her in life, she's not there to get laid. You can't really touch her all over the place without coming off as weird. You come in an shock her out of her day. She's happy to meet you if you have great game, but how likely is she to skip her meeting to go and play with your junk? She's not so desperate that she can't wait until your first date. It's seduction, not witchcraft. If y…

The problem is that it was short, but not sweet, it was sufficiently bad that the guy ejected. Going for a number at that point is sloppy. It's thinking "I'll get whatever I can get". You might as well walk up to a 1000 women and ask them if they're down to fuck, one of them will say yes. That's not game.
/r/seduction23/02/15 05:47 PM

You're going to ask her for a number a few minutes into a "meh" conversation? What's the end-result besides teaching yourself that it is ok to game sloppy or desperate?

Having her cheat is not my cup of tea, but you could even frame it as: "If she wants to cheat, then she's going to cheat, it might as well be me since I'll show her a good time, I will be extremely discrete, and I will take much better care of her than some random out there"

Good luck finding people out here who open over 1000 sets a year. When you don't go out and practice all you can do is circlejerk about how great Models is and post a Courage Wolf once every other week. Not much to talk about when everybody rehashes what they read in that book or that other book.

In daygame you have to be sensitive in situations where she cannot leave, e.g. trains, buses, bus stations etc. You have to move very slowly and surgically. She will already be on the defensive since she cannot easily leave, which she could do if you approached her on the street or in a club. In your specific case, it sounded like you got absolutely no indication she wasn't interested. Everybody's different and cues aren't as obvious as you'd think they are, so I would have stayed a bit longer u…

The road is very straightforward, yet very unpleasant, hard and uncomfortable. You gotta look at what's most threatening for you, address that first and gain massive confidence in the process. If you say your anxiety and AA are terrible, then you know what you need to do. Those things are preventing you from feeling good about yourself, and are limiting your options. We all wish there was a book you could read, a video series you could watch, or a pill you could take that would turn you into poo…

Go out and fuck a lot of girls. There's nothing better than volume and variety to learn that the girl you just fucked is not that special, she was just a lay, maybe a fuck buddy if you liked it enough, you don't need to fall in love with her. Scarcity is likely the biggest cause of oneitis.

Your ratio of reading/watching PUA material to actual infield experience is completely off. You should be 90% execution and 10% reading. Until you actually do the hard part, putting yourself in humiliation's way in order to learn, you will go nowhere. Nobody has ever read their way towards being great with women.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it doesn't sound like the OP spent any time infield, he focused mostly on reading things online. Not sure how one gets any experience this way.

"brutally rejected"? As in, the venue paused the music, turned on the lights, everybody pointed at you, started laughing and throwing tomatos in your direction, calling you a loser? Or a bunch of girls walked away or told you they were going to the bathroom?

For sure. But remember that a really good salesperson can actually create the desire for an item, where it might have not existed before. Closing people who walk onto your lot is beginner material, closing less interested clientele is much harder and much more of an art. That's where the fun is at.

Outer game is not a script. If it is, it's because you're either new or doing it wrong. Routines are there in a supportive role, they're like licks for jazz guitar players, but at more advanced levels the substance of the interaction is pure improv guided by instinct, training and principles. And yes, you can't pick up everybody, but you sure as heck can become a lot more attractive and appealing to a much larger audience and thus dramatically increase the chance of pick up.

All the time. Naturals who are abundant do not "have standards". Having sex with an average looking girl doesn't really matter because you have a lifetime of hot women to bang ahead of you, so you might as well go ahead and have fun. You're not going to sarge a 10 every time you're infield, might as well pull someone and not base your personal self-esteem on her looks. I have plenty of OK meals in my life even though I really like (and prefer) a great dish at an expensive restaurant. Doesn't def…

Look, you're not going to want to hear this, you're probably hoping for a quick and easy cure, but there really isn't one besides a lobotomy perhaps. Practice and repeated gradual exposure are the only consistent ways we have to deal with anxiety. You're always a bit nervous, but eventually you will have done it enough times that it doesn't really bother you any longer. We don't go to bars to meet women, we go to bars to practice a specific skillset. Bars and clubs are fantastic because of the traffic and being able to fail over and over again without any consequence to anyone. It's all upside.

Look dude, you have a shitty-ass attitude towards everything in this thread. People are giving you advice from places where you're trying to get, and you're not listening. That's exactly how you get nowhere. You can either continue exploring the glorious buffet of excuses you're coming up with, or you can start your journey towards a less shitty version of you. I'm talking about random strangers at the bar, you don't need to bring your friends along. You're not "going out with them", you're not "hanging out with them". All you want from them is a state pump, the appearance that you have friends in that bar, and perhaps an encouragement. Tell them to call you a pussy in front of everybody if you don't open that girl you like. Again, if you're just starting out, this is all irrelevant to you. Find any wing and get your first 500 sets in or so, then you'l…

Guys are SUPER easy to open because even as a beginner you don't actually want anything from them. Start by finding some other dude who's in the corner of the venue and looks like he could use a friend, then move on two twosets of dudes etc. There's ALWAYS a group of two dudes somewhere in the bar who look like they're there to get some poon, you can super easily bond with them.

Another question for you, appreciate taking the time to answer these. Did you pick up game all on your own or did you work closely with someone and received mentorship? Also, any particular folks in the industry you personally like and think are both great at game and as coaches?

Fascinating! I'm not in the "cash in" phase of game right now, so I don't have time to deal with online at this point, but I'm thinking I might give one of these high-end services a try at some point when dates is what I'm looking for. They charge something like 300-600/mo and guarantee x dates / week. I'd do it myself by hand, but I know how time consuming it can be, having done it for about 10 years myself until I stopped doing online altogether.

Everybody comes up with a reason not to approach: too fat, too pale, too boring, too bald, too ugly, too underdressed, too poor, too late, too busy, too short etc. At some point the pain of missing out on life will be greater than the pain caused by the above phobias and you'll do it. Or you'll die alone.

It works as long as your frame is very strong. If you LOOK like you're having fun, you're not ACTUALLY being racist, but you're just saying fucked up shit because you're amusing yourself, you think you're hilarious. Her weaker frame is going to be absorbed into yours and she will find it funny. Basically as long as you're the leader, as long as you're the dominant one in the conversation, she will look at you for indication of how she should be reacting, and she will laugh. Disclaimer: Doesn't work on Asian women if you're a white dude, field tested a hundred times :) Most of the time they shit test you immediately with "Oh is that because we all look the same?!" (try it, I promise you they'll say it), which you can exaggerate your way out of "Absolutely, it's like they print you from the same friggin mold. Your name was Ling Long, right?" (with a GIANT grin on your face, please don't say it seriously), but in general I'd avoid it.

Is there anything you need to practice, but you generally can't nut up to do with good looking women you cold approach? :) You can try escalating super fast, hardcore push pull, flirting, being super sexually direct etc. Or amuse yourself, see if you can blow the set by being extra obnoxious.

Creepy is, among many variations, when you get the timing wrong, giving too much too soon, or when you suck value without providing any. What you have above is not bad, it's flirting, assuming this wasn't your opener. Just be careful not to overdo the IOIs, don't overwhelm her with too much interest all at once, ease off the pedal like with: "Too bad I'm not into blondes, cause otherwise you're pretty damn cute" or she does something dumb and you shake your head with disappointment and go "Well,…

Here's the thing, it sounds like you're doing everything right: you're going out there, putting in the work, you're opening sets (can't quite tell how many, but try to do 10-15+ a night if possible), you're analyzing how it went (always wear a mic, really helpful for self-debriefing). The problem is that you're too fresh to be able to self-help yourself out of this situation. If you have horrible AA, you stall all the time, and you obviously care about what they think of you, then you're very mu…

Getting consistent is pretty damn hard, few people get great results every single time they go out. In my coach's words, focus and trust in the process, focus on getting a tad better every time. Have a set of training goals you want to achieve every night and accomplish them. Getting laid is a side-effect of your training, not something you want to be obsessing over, as it will hurt growth.

Love the videos, great stuff. I strive to learn everything I can from the masters, so I'll be mining your videos for soundbites for weeks to come, there's a lot of good stuff in there. Loved the delivery and the spaces you create in the conversation, the strong frame, solid stuff.

I've personaly gotten a lot out working with a coach and practicing exactly this. She's hot (thus extra intimidating for some) and can play the role of any type of girl out there, from the bitchiest and most indifferent to the sweetest. I usually practice cold approaches with her, an hour for about x2-3 a week, but you could practice having an actually fun conversation later into the set. I've had a few 4s and 5s as part of the learning process. I didn't really enjoy the experience, but I learned a lot from them and that helped me have success with more attractive women down the line. A lot of training in pickup is fundamentally uncomfortable and unpleasant, it's ok, you do what you need to do in the short term to be successful in the long term. The goal of the exercise is to actually stop thinking. Fear is often caused and exacerbated by thoughts that incessantly rush through your head and that you can't seemingly stop from occurring. Meditation teaches you to recognize this endless stream of thoughts, and to distance yourself from them, allowing you to see fear (or any other emotion for that reason) arise, and allowing you to choose not to be affected by it. Meditation has definitely become a big staple of my pre-game routine. I hate the fear I always experience before a night out and so I've been doing everything I can to put myself into a happier place. It's really just like stage fright: you always have it, and you learn to deal with it, but I still like to be able to minimize it to the point where I don't really notice it. you can "game" over text, but ideally this is a time-bridge, not the opener there's basically no game after having sex with her, only relationship management. Unless this was a pity fuck, she's basically already very heavily invested in you, to the point of letting you stick a dick in her.

Stop getting flakey numbers, you're using the wrong metric for success. It generally means you're getting the number too soon, where the girl gives it to you just to get you out of her face. Get a number once she's actually invested in you, or even better, have her ask you for it by seeding an event, then you know it's not going to be a flake.

With pickup we generally train during the night time in bars and clubs where a cold approach is you walking up to a woman or group of people with a woman you'd like to meet. It's a lot easier to make a lot of approaches in a busy club/bar and it's one place where nobody cares if you make a total ass of yourself in the process, which is why most people train in that kind of environment rather than running around the mall during the day. Try to shoot for more than 4 times a month, it's not nearly enough experience to lead to rapid personal development. It's akin to doing strength training and doing 4 sets a month. Yes, it's something, just not really enough to lead anywhere. The ideal number is about 35 approaches a week. That's 3 days infield + a few interactions here and there during the day. 20 is the bare minimum, but that's like a C.

No problem, happy to help / explain. To clarify, right now I'm infield only 2 nights a week for about a total of 6 hours a week. That's generally enough to make 10 approaches a night -> 20 approaches a week -> ~1000 approaches a year, which is generally considered the bare minimum you need to become good at game. At some point I might increase the # of nights I'm infield depending on whether my coach decides that's going to be optimal for my growth. Right now I get very good progress from just 2…

Good shit, squattin! I wasn't at that event, but it was amusing to see what I might look like from the other side, great to put things in perspective. A lot of these guys are likely somewhat fresh to intermediate, so you're seeing a lot of them in that stage of their development. You pretty much have to expect the same thing over and over again from that crowd. Given enough experience, they will all eventually drop their training wheels. Good analysis at the end of the video.

Most of the time if they don't want to make out or even have sex with you by the end of the first date, it means your game is shitty. Yes, there are circumstances where maybe the girl has had VERY bad experiences in the past, is from a very conservative religious background etc. and you just won't be able to break through it, but most of the time it's all about your skillset. I strongly believe in taking responsibility for missed occasions unless it's something as obvious as a meteor falling on …

Girls don't work that way. If you friends are tall and handsome, but really lame, and you're short and hilarious and a riot to be around, you'll win hands down. They're funny as well? Be funnier, be more interesting. Also, for example, my coach is like 5'4" and I would not want to go out and talk to women with him around because I'd literally not get a single word in and he'd walk out with them within 15 minutes. Doesn't matter that I'm 6'2" when out at the venue. Good game works.

Pros: it's the best feeling ever when you post something funny on Facebook and you get 3-4 likes all from different girls you're either banging right now in parallel or that you banged in the past, and they're not aware of each other.

You flirt and you escalate. If she has a boyfriend she'll let you know. Maybe she has one but still wants to bang you because you're that good, and she won't tell you, that's up to your personal morals.

Whatever your knew in HS doesn't really translate much to college, and whatever you knew in college doesn't really translate much to the real world. Your social skillset carries on, focus on the fundamentals and you'll do great in whatever phase of your life you're in.
/r/seduction16/08/14 04:00 AM

Exactly this. 22 is when you get clobbered by women your age because they want to date guys in their late 20s and early 30s. This is a great time to start building your social skills, they'll come in really handy as you are approaching your prime. I'd strongly recommend that you make sure your finances are in top shape, because you'd really benefit from life coaching/pickup coaching which would save you many years of doing things the wrong way, but it's not exactly a cheap service.

Listen to this guy. Pickup is ultimately about confidence, social skills and knowing your way around women. All of those are very relevant when you're looking to find and keep a woman of your choice. She deserves the very best version of you, and pickup is probably the most effective way we know to turn you into that guy.

Even when you start consistently approaching, you still live a shadow life. You still can't tell anybody outside of your wings what you're spending 20-30 hours a week on, it's incredibly lonely, but the prize at the end of the road is of sufficient consolation.

I find that hard to believe. Learning pikcup is so damn hard that "teaching a bootcamp too well" is basically not going to make any noticeable difference over the long term. Don't worry about approaching if you're just starting out. Just begin conversations with strangers everywhere until it becomes norm. Get to the point where NOT talking to someone close to you is weird. Talk to people on the elevator, in line at starbucks, next to you at the train station, in the cab, at the gym, at the bank, at the post office, at the grocery store. There are pickup schools out there that teach you exactly this and much more. It's just that most people never really hear about them or bother spending the time to find the right kind of coaching. So true. False disqualifiers are really powerful. The whole "you're sleeping on the couch tonight", "don't get any ideas", "get your mind out of the gutter", "you better not tell my friends" line of soundbites is really powerful when timed right. Be the opposite of every other lame guy she's ever gone out with, reframe it as her chasing you.

Yes, it is a lie. The same way a girl will tell some guys "I always wait 5 dates before I sleep with a guy" while doing same night lays with random alphas she hooks up with at a bar. In that moment, in that emotional context she fully means it. Same way a girl will tell you "I'll be right back" when she's actually ejecting from your set and wants to never see you again. "We are not having sex" = we're having sex. It's on her mind, that's a very good thing. Disregard the words, look at the subcommunication. No humor, no attraction, no subtlety, no wit, just brute force and telling them they're cute. Maybe that was him early on in his career. Sure, it's basically broad strokes inner game. I was just clarifying that there's much more to pickup and seduction than inner game philosophy and framing: execution is really where you will be spending most of your time as a PUA once you make it past that initial hurdle, and Mark doesn't deal with those parts. I recommend taking speech coaching training. There are dozens of little techniques you can learn to help you with this, and ultimately it depends a lot on where you're at currently. It's pointless to try to diagnose what's up with you without a professional giving you an exam. It's a fanstastic form of teasing during sex. Some women will explicitly tell you to do that to them, as it turns them on tremendously. It's a form of temporary denial of pleasure, something neat to throw into sex here and there.

Make 100% sure you're not in any way affected by the rejections you're going to be getting on that site. Treat it as just a really boring and low-effort way of dropping hooks when you have nothing better to do. In the real world, if you were to get continuously rejected on every approach, you know almost certainly you're doing something wrong, even despite the 60/40 principle. With online dating, assuming your profile isn't revolting and you're not saying "hi" in your message, you can't take any…

I found this video by Tyler pretty motivational: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uarCaupZBY . It's not so much regarding the day to day grind, but more on the overarching theme of why we must do what we do. It resonates a lot with traditional Buddhist teachings (I think he's an insight meditation practitioner himself, which would explain the inspiration). I think the gist is that you have a very short shot at life, the opportunities are present, but ultimately scarse, and so is your time. Your …

Disclaimer: not a pro. I love the guys from simple pickup and their ridiculous videos. It looks like as long as you're smiling, confident, make eye contact and have that "Everything's alright, I'm friendly" expression then you can stop people in the middle of the street and they'll be pretty cool with it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7PAYhmoKkA

Makes sense. Sounds like cutting through the bs and telling her right away that she's cute gets you to the point much faster and might actually work better since you're confidently asserting your sexual interest. 1) I might have to try the directions trick sometime :) 2) Ok that's a plan. Thank you!

Not complaining about more variety, but there's actually a thread on that already if you want to go ahead an cherrypick it: http://www.reddit.com/r/seduction/comments/cr09m/lets_make_a_big_list_of_date_ideas_first_dates/

So never kiss her until you're at her/your place in preparation for the f-close? Does that only work because you try to take things to your place within one-two dates? I can't imagine going on more dates without kissing..

It's my understanding that unless it's a very awkward situation, direct openers are always the way to go simply because of how much you show that you have the courage to take what you want. Again, some theory seems to suggest that such a crazy display of confidence makes everything else irrelevant. Do you think that in the end it outweighs the awkwardness of the situation, and makes direct approaching a more favorable route?

So that "what kind of carrot is your favorite" question is pretty ridiculous, so should you be asking that with a big smirk on your face hinting to the fact that you realize that the question is silly in the first place? To me it always felt like being comfortable with asking silly questions in a semi-serious way is a sign of confidence.

Would it be easier if I just went for it with a hottie the first time? Kind of like learning to swim by being thrown right into deep water. At least it would be all downhill from there, you know?

Ok, that's definitely a start. Let's say you're somewhere where it's not customary for people to meet (like the party in your example), but for example at a grocery store. She's standing there choosing stuff, and you just walked up to her and introduced yourself (handshake btw, or not?). Where do you go from there? She says "Hi... yes?" (with a slight wtf expression on her face) and you're still in the same situation of having to have something to say. Are you really going to say "Hm, buying car…

Do you think not holding hands and stuff like PDA might be hurting your game though? They seems like great ways of escalating kino, and if you're excluding them from your arsenal, then I wonder if you're not weakening your game.

Hm so what kind of dates implies "I'm serious about you" again? I didn't know there was an unwritten rule for what's serious and what's not, so please enlighten me.

This is interesting. The truth is that I'm NOT surrounded by good looking women all day, even though I've dated a few in the past, and I think that's a big part of why it's so upsetting to someone like me. I'm thinking that getting more and more exposure to them will make this a lot easier so I don't have to "lie" to myself about beauty being common.

If you want to be truly hardcore, you should check out the Warrior Diet (a form of Intermittent Fasting). Similarly to the Muhammad Ali thing, it's said that a man that's constantly hungry has an edge to him. The two together would be an interesting experiment.

9s and 10s with rich intricate personalities, badass attitude, good intellect, education, and that are well read are incredibly uncommon and absolute gems. I only met one like that my entire life and if she wanted to, she would have made me settle down with her in an instant. She didn't. I decided I will do whatever it takes to be the best man I can be so that next time I win the love lottery again, I will be good enough to hold onto her and not let her slip away. It's so hard to go back to dati…

Improv is great. I did exactly that a couple of months ago, and not only it was fun and helped me meet a few fun people, it also helped me get a bit out of my shell and be less shy.

That's a fair point. I think that making the "no long-term commitment" clause clear from the beginning is key here. Sex is definitely tricky territory, it screws up with people's feelings and even though you made it clear, you still end up with someone's feelings hurt when things don't go long term.

Where do you draw the line? Let's say you end up sleeping with the girl, is that implicitly stating I'm interested in her beyond just having fun?

Ok thanks! Actually speaking of skills, what would I want to focus on specifically practice-wise? I'm guessing being a fun and easy-going conversationalist and being able to keep things moving in the right direction is a good start, right?

I guess the point I was trying to make is that I'm not usually one to go on a date with a woman I don't find at least somewhat attractive. It's obvious that you don't know what that dating is going to turn into, but you need to at least be initially attracted to someone before you go out with them, right?
