Facebook is convenient for escalating with acquaintances - arranged many a booty-call with it, but for straight up initiating I'd say it's creepy.

Facebook is a great way to start chatting to her, and ask her out. you would probably be better off chatting to her on fb for a bit, and then do the casual "i've got to go. could i grab your number?" line (assuming its going well).

That exact method has helped me quite a few times ;)

Have gotten 2 gf and multiple hook ups with girls I just met on facebook. Its more the "hit on 100 girls and 1 is bound to react" method. But you have to be sly and can't act like you've done this before. It's just nice that you could be hitting on multiple girls all at once. Very efficient.

In other words, move the interraction from facebook to phone to in person as quickly as possible. Don't try to skip the phone part. Asking a girl out via Facebook displays a lack of class, IMHO.

I don't use facebook, but I use another similar site called mocospace. Many of the people on there are looking for a hook up. I have f-closed 6 or 7 in the past couple months from there alone. Hell even had the "Let's meet up, fuck like crazy for an hour then you can go home" sex. fanfuckingtastic. I get these from just being upfront about what I want then playing with them online, teasing, avoiding the sex talk until they nod, I have gotten so many interested, to bad I didn't have an unlimited travel budget to get to where all these women are!
