Is there any room for modesty in seduction?

One thing that I've seen in the workplace is that the people who are modest and expect to have their performance/effort recognized for what it is are often overlooked.

The people who brag about what they did are recognized as being full of hot air.

The people who do well are those who are modest and still able to talk about their accomplishments. It's a balancing act that involves modesty, confidence, and not being afraid to share your successes.

I would think this applies to all aspects of life.

I was wondering this too.

The answer I usually get is to be confident in your skills, not arrogant.

"I'm pretty good," is far different from "I'm the best."

I have two guesses.

This is Reddit. It is an easy position to take online. The real world is a bit different.
Age. A lot of the people on here are quite young (early 20s at most).

I don't think that confidence requires a whole lot of bragging, though the kinds of jokes women like may cross over into arrogance. Seduction isn't a one personality fits all type of game, and it's important to be flexible enough to establish rapport with different types of women anyway. Besides, you don't want to come off like The Situation or else you're only going to attract skeezers.

The reality is for a lot of people, this type of modesty is due to a lack of confidence in their skills. Like they don't believe that sharing and talking about their skills is valuable to others. Or they think it is trying to show off. Really its just about letting people know who you really are. If you are really comfortable not telling people about yourself then you don't need but try and find the reality in your actions.

The way I try to balance modesty is by recognizing that I simultaneously have much to offer as well as much to learn.
