Long story short, I was at my peak of meeting women last year before I realized that I wanted more. As much as I was having, I really wanted to focus on a relationship and build towards marriage. I'm 29 and wanted to start a family, so I gave up going out and tried to do so.

After several attempts at this (with many failing miserably), I decided to go for broke. Met an amazing girl (21), arguably the ideal woman in my eyes. Only issue was she was in her last year of college and she was about 4 hours away. Not a problem, a girl like her is extremely rare and, although I had some qualms, I felt this would work.

It should be noted that prior to this, she told me her ex was mentally and emotionally abusive. When we decided to go for it, she wasn't 100% sure she was ready for a relationship because of her past but she wanted to give it a shot.

I visited her this past weekend. Everything was great and was basically a confirmation that we made the right decision in giving this a try. Or so I thought.

She sends me a text tonight saying she's been doing a lot of thinking (in 2 days?? da fuq...) and we need to talk but she since she needs to wake up early, she wants to do it tomorrow. I tell her absolutely not, you can't combine those words and leave me in the dark. So she calls and tells me she thinks we should break this off. I don't question her and I tell her if that's what she wants, that's fine. She tells me I am amazing, I treat her well, blah blah. Usualy spiel. I tell her no worries, enjoy the school year.

So now I'm finding this as a wonderful opportunity to be the awesome person I was before. After all these failed relationships, it's just not my turn for them yet so I need to get back and do what I do best. I never read seddit while I was single but now that I am on here, I have a wealth of information to utilize. Pretty stoked.

Am I upset? Ofcourse. She was wonderful and I never treated anyone as great as I did her. She truly made me happy, even over 300 miles away. I knew if we could just hang on until she graduated, things would work out.

Am I nervous? Yes, I haven't cold approached anyone in over a year. I have to build back up. But I am excited because I can go back to a happier me when not a single fuck was given.

I guess this is sort of a rant/vent topic. I wish she and I were still together but it is what it is. I'll go out and enjoy my life like I should. So wish me luck and I look forward to contributing more often on here!
