Sitting across tables is a situation you want to stay the shortest amount of time; touching knees and elbow are very good for the initial kino phase.

If it is how the place/club is made and you want the challenge then it depends on what you mean 'across tables'.

Does it mean that you are both at the same table, just opposite side?

If so, body language (not facing her first) is good and the more she put on the table and entertains you, the closer you get and the more contact she gets. Use your legs for passive kino and hands for active kino.

Use high-fives with constraints, depending on the area and on the girl, it might work against you (either they find it lame or they know that guys wanting to pick them up use high-fives and try to hold the hand).

I usually reward smart comments or funny replies but a silent nod and a very slow bump-fist. You don't yell her 'LOL! Bumpfist for that!', just nod and lightly smile (almost as if you were surprised) and calmly say with a {Not_bad_face}: 'That was actually a good one' and, looking away, put up your fist. If she goes for it then she is having fun, if she refuses just say something like 'You know that leaving a bumpfist hanging is against the law in <Random Country>?'.

If she still doesn't react, just leave bro, seriously.

If you mean across different tables, then eye contact is the way to go. Build a crowd and still play with her by looking at her and call her to come over if she smiles back when you catch her looking at you again.

Sitting across the table isn't something you really want to be doing you need to get her to sit next to you so it doesn't feel like an interview just say "hey this is starting to feel like an interview come sit here" take her hand and guide her next to you.

You don't need to force it. You've still got your eyes, your words, your demeanor to work with to build comfort and sexuality.

One time I just randomly saw a ring (obviously not wedding I was just being goofy). I took her hand like, hold up what is this?? What if your husband finds out about me? Your still letting me flirt with you I guess that's how you are.

The goal wasn't kino, I was honestly entertaining myself. And it entertained her we were laughing. But there was inadvertent kino there.

So, this is what i pretty much always do when meeting a woman for coffee or drinks: I sit beside her, or at least in a 90 degree angle, so i can initiate kino. It is no problem in most cases just to take a chair and put it in closer and better position. If she automatically sits down on the other end of the table (wich happens, but with preparation shouldnt) i say something like: "Come over to me, or are you scared?" Depends on your frame, but it fits me very well.
