Hey guys, long time lurker here, I’m gonna post an experience I had with a girl last week and need your advice on what I did wrong on and whether I should go after this girl again. TL/DR in the end.

Little backstory, I broke up from a 2 year relationship a couple of months back. Took me some time to heal and now I’m back at gaming, with some good results as of right now.

So, I went on a beach party with a friend of mine. There I met a girl that I used to hang out with common friends in the past. I always liked her but since I was in a relationship I never made a move. She was with a friend so me and my buddy didn’t waste the opportunity.

Long story short, we spent the whole time together flirting and bantering each other (all 4). I made sure to escalate in physical touch the whole night, even was grabbing her by her waist for quite some time. We ended laying in deck chairs by the beach, her asking me to massage her back and my friend massaging her friend.

Now, where the bad part starts. I know this girl is very shy and wouldn’t be down to escalate in front of my friend. Her friend was working early next day so she suggested them leaving. While we were walking towards our cars, I let the other guys walk a bit forward and slowed her down. I tried to kiss her but she moved away and said no. We then continued to the other guys who didn’t have a clue and the night ended.

Next day, I DM’d her because she had forgotten her scarf. She made sure to tell me by herself she had a great time but informed me that she doesn’t think she can see us differently since she was also friend with my ex when we used to hang out in the past. (That was like 3-4 times and I know for a fact they don’t hang out or even talk right now, maybe they greet each other if they ever meet).

What’s your opinion about this? I know her letting me grab her waist or massage her back is not something a girl who isn’t interested would let me do. On the other hand, if she was into me she would let me kiss her at least. Should I chase her more or leave her? I’m in my head right now.

Sorry for long post. TL/DR; Met a girl I knew in a party. Ended up massaging her back after her asking me to, next to our friends. Rejected me when I tried to kiss her because she was “friends” with my ex.
