Been trying to work through building self-confidence without becoming the stereotypical alpha douche.
What I've done; organized a group hike to get the social energy going. Got a female to show in large part to the look I gave her. Had to do very little with making a convincing argument that it would be fun, instead, the eye contact, slight finger point, tilt of head conveyed what I wanted. "I'm on to you, so don't even think about not coming girl."

Another young lady texts to cancel on me.

"I'm can't make it to the hike."

My response: "Not what I want to hear. ok, have a nice day. : )"

in retrospect, this response bothered me a bit. I think it should have been a bit less sharp. Something like, "Sorry to hear that."

I've got approaches handled to some degree, especially during the day. Need to work on redirecting conversation, but without having to be the center of attention, or loud. This is a subtlety that I really want to make happen.

I want to make sure the connections I'm making are quality interactions. My self improvement needs to be for myself first, getting laid will come. Being relaxed and comfortable in any group settings and social situations is an improvement I've made. I start conversations. Though I've never really been interested in what other people have to say. I want to be open to different points of view.

Got invited to a party. Looking forward to practicing some social skills.
