I discovered this subreddit perhaps a month and a half ago, and my progress has been incredible for me. Before, I would get laid once every couple months, always a one night stand with some random chick at a bar. While it never felt bad, it was always more of a situation where I would find a girl coming on to me. I never really ran "game" on a girl because I was too insecure, but if a girl seemed into me, I was usually able to get her home with me.

After I started reading about kino escalation here, everything changed. I became a lot more outgoing and comfortable with approaching women, though I still have some AA in some situations. I number-closed more girls than I care to count, I K-closed a handful of girls, and I F-closed two girls, one of which has now become my girlfriend. It is a stunning change to me, where now I am the one in control of the situation, rather than just waiting around awkwardly waiting for a girl to come up to me.

The contrast was really made tonight, because as my girlfriend and I were watching a movie, some guy was texting her. She was texting back in front of me, so I was reading. Apparently they had made plans to meet today, but she ended up blowing him off to spend time with me. That gave me a huge ego-boost, but I still wanted to ask about him. Something he texted about "oh you didn't meet me I guess you don't like me" reminded me a lot of something I probably would've texted a girl that cancelled on me back when I was an AFC.

I jokingly told my girlfriend "oh that guy likes you," and she laughed it off, saying he was just joking, but I could tell that it was true. As I was walking her home, we decided to stop off for a night cap in a local bar, and who should we run into but the AFC she had been texting. He seemed a little upset, not just because she had cancelled on him, but also because she ended their text conversation by saying she was going to bed, so he caught her in a lie. At first he was a bit passive-aggressively ignoring me, but we ended up chatting for perhaps 30 minutes, and he's actually a fairly cool guy.

I felt a little bad for the guy. It's a strange experience to see guys who are AFCs when you used to be one. At least it is for me. At the same time, I also take a lot of pride in the fact that I'm better than that now.
