Let me elaborate. While I have no difficulty #-closing and k-closing more than everyone else at social events where I have a chance to converse with women, I've found it impossible (thus far) to get so much as 2 minutes of interaction at nightclubs. I'll tell you why - it's because I look like a bald, 45 year old troll hitting on women half his age (I'm actually 23).

Last evening was a perfect example of this. I managed to get 7 numbers in a sausage-fest of a mixer early in the evening, so I headed to a club brimming with confidence. I was feeling as outcome-independent as I have in a long time. There was nothing I needed to prove to anyone. My foremost reason for being there was to see one of my favourite international DJs, and the sea of HB9s was merely icing on the cake.

First approach with great posture, strong kino, and eye-contact right off the bat. She literally walks away. Okay, no biggie. Second approach, I open a pair my putting my arms around both their waists and just say "let's dance". They get away instantly. I switch it up for the next 17 approaches. I try lighter kino to no avail. I try having a longer conversation before taking them to the dancefloor. Again, no luck. After 19 approaches, I said "fuck it" and just danced right in front of the turntables all by myself.

I realized upon leaving the club that I was the only bald guy there. No joke. There were a crapload of really handsome looking guys, at least one for every HB8-9. There obviously were a lot of AFCs (every club has a lot of 'em), but I didn't see a single fugly guy closing.

Maybe it's the demographics. Maybe most club-going women are there to snag hot guys. In any case, looks are the strongest signal both sexes can give to one another in such an environment, where even the most charismatic personality can't compensate for physical shortcomings. Trying to have a conversation more than two exchanges long is a lost cause (it's just too fucking loud - I couldn't hear what half of them were saying), so looks end up being a lot more valuable there.
