The key takeaway from this whole experience is that luck is a combination of opportunity and preparation. The experiences I have had in the last 6 months have allowed me to take a very unlikely situation, and create an amazing experience for me and a girl I barely know. Putting in the time now approaching and dating will open the possibility for completely unexpected and amazing experiences down the road.

Over the last 6 months I have started taking cold approach daygame seriously. In this thread I wrote about my first 200 approaches, and what it taught me. Due to it being winter here in Berlin, as well as my work load increasing dramatically, I have not been able to continue approaching at the frequency I was before (~30 - 50 a week). Even still, the lessons I learnt in this time have given me a solid foundation which enables me to make the most of opportunities that come my way. I probably had the same number of flirtatious interactions in this period as I had had in the past 2 or 3 years combined.

I was meant to meet up with a girl I met at a friend's party. This normally doesn't go so well for me, as there is more of a friend to friend connection rather than man to woman, but as she was so stunning I thought I couldn't miss the opportunity. She was making it difficult to organise a date, telling me that she was very busy and was unable to make plans too far in advance. Finally we settled on Tuesday, but by the end of my working day she told me that she was not going to be able to make it. To be honest, I was pretty frustrated. I'd been very excited about the date, and I'd spent too much time looking at her social media photos. After I finished work, I decided that I would just get some dinner alone and read my book, before having an early night.

The restaurant I went to was very small, and also pretty busy. I was forced to sit at a 4 person table with another guy sitting diagonally. We acknowledged each other, but just ate our meals in silence and both read books. I noticed three girls come in as a group, and they were squeezed into another busy table, obviously uncomfortable. When the guy on my table finished his meal, the waiter moved the girls to my table, so that another couple could be squeezed in.

The three girls were all from Costa Rica, and had been travelling in Europe for a month. Two were going to a concert that night, and one was going to see a cultural film by herself. I made some food recommendations, and we had a laugh about how different Berlin is to Costa Rica. I ended up talking about more sexually charged topics, such as a bondage workshop that a female friend of mine is buying her boyfriend for his birthday. The girls loved this, and talked about how they loved how sexually free people are in Berlin (a good sign). After I finished my meal I asked what they were doing later, and that I should show them a couple bars near my house. The girl who was seeing the film by herself told me that she would love to go to a bar while she waited for her friends to leave the concert, and we swapped WhatsApps.

A couple hours later, she sends me a text saying she is done, and asking where a good bar is. I told her there are many near my house that I can show her (good logistics), and that I'd meet her at the metro station. We met and she said she only had a little bit of time before she would meet her friends, so I skipped the first bar I normally go to, and went straight to the second (which is more seductive). I always try to take girls to two bars, one bright and comfortable to get the boring questions out the way, and one darker and sexier to change the mood. It also makes the evening feel more like a shared adventure that you are taking her on. That said, more often than not recently I have taken girls to one, had one drink, and then gone straight home together. I don't really understand what influences whether a girl needs the whole adventure or just one bar, but I have almost messed things up a couple times by suggesting that we go to a second bar when she just wants to go straight to my place. I now always plan for two bars, but I keep the possibility of going home immediately if I feel like she is ready for this.

I was gambling that the work I had done in the restaurant earlier was enough attraction, and that I could go straight into comfort to prevent us running out of time together. The only table free in the bar was very small, and we were squeezed in together, lit by the candle on the table. To be honest, the vibe was not so sexual, but I kept reminding myself that she was here with me and that we were sharing a drink alone together. If she wasn't interested, she wouldn't have been there. She told me that she was a tattoo artist, and she did all her own tattoos herself. This is a great sign that she is open to intense and spontaneous experiences. I asked more questions about being spontaneous and free, and we really connected over travelling and unexpected crazy stories. After we finished our drinks I used the line I use every time (have something prepared, this part is hard) - "I have to wake up early tomorrow for work (true). I have half a bottle of wine at my house (half true, it was full as I had bought it one hour before in preparation), we can drink that while you wait for your friends". She said yes, but said it was pretty crazy to go to a stranger's house after only knowing him for about 1 hour tops. I agreed, and told her my address and telephone number to text to her friends. This is important, because realistically this is a dangerous thing for a woman to do. It is my job to keep things light and easy, and giving my details to her friends is a way to make her feel safer.

We get to mine and relax in the kitchen drinking wine. It is key to not jump on her immediately. I normally kiss girls in the elevator up to my apartment, but to be honest I was really nervous (physically shaking) and I didn't want to put too much pressure on her before she had a chance to relax some more. We drank a glass of wine each, which helped us calm down, and then I suggested we look at some travelling photos on my computer (again, have this prepared. Moving from the kitchen to the bedroom is another scary and difficult moment). She said yes and we went and sat on my bed in my room.

Relax here. I was even more nervous than earlier, but I kept reminding myself that she was here on my bed having only spent about an hour knowing each other. If she wasn't interested in having sex with me, she wouldn't be there. We drank another glass of wine, and I showed her all my photos. She showed me some of hers on her phone, which allowed us to get very close. Once she was finished, I lifted her chin and we kissed. After that there were the normal token objections. "We can make out, but nothing more, I'm just waiting for my friends (as she wrapped her legs around me and pressed her hips against me hard)" "We are not having sex tonight (as I took her jeans off and she had her hand down mine). We had a great time together, and lay and talked for an hour afterwards until her friend were finally done with their concert. She left about 3 hours after we met at the metro station, with maybe 30 minutes of us talking in the restaurant earlier that day. This is the fastest I have ever had from meeting to sex.

All in all, a great reference experience for me. I felt super nervous and uncomfortable the whole time, but as I had a plan for the date already prepared, I didn't have to worry or think about what we were doing. Instead I could focus on being present and enjoying her company. When she left she said "nice to meet you, and thanks for such a cool evening".
Maybe I will see her again before she leaves, or maybe I won't. Either way, a great memory for us both.
