The most important thing is to have your own unique sense of style and own it. MFA's "look" isn't for everyone.

For example, I have a kick-ass biker jacket that I wear all the time. Chicks dig it. And just like you said, I feel extra confident when wearing it.

People generally focus too much on what MFA says you should wear rather than (more importantly) how you should wear it. Even if the style recommendations and trends on MFA aren't for you, the lessons about how to wear clothing is universal and often invaluable.

Here are some universal lessons I've taken away from MFA:

Fit is everything. Clothes are made to accentuate natural shapes and lines on the male body, they can transform the way your body looks but in order for them to do that, they need to fit as the designer intended. Learn your body type and learn what clothes, styles, fits, compliment you best. Learn how different brands fit (some slimmer, some boxy). Be a fucking perfectionist when it comes to fit. Do not be afraid to walk out of 5 different stores empty handed if the clothes you've tried don't fit up to your standards.

Keep an open mind. Seriously, be open about different styles, colours, patterns, matierials. I know a lot of guys that refuse to wear pink or purple because that's a "woman's colour" or refuse to break out of the 'washed jeans and a graphic tee' uniform. Just like in seduction, it is a good idea to experiment and try to break out of your comfort zone. This is part of developing a personal style.

If you want a little bit of proof that dressing well is attractive.

This isn't true in the least, I like my NFL jerseys but it's a goddamn fact those do not work unless your sniping hood rats. Knowledge on what looks good goes a long way, that's why fashion advice exists.

All I can say is that Abercrombie is not as bad as people make it out to be.

Don't wear the fucking suits you see in /mfa, you'll look like a pretentious douche unless you're over 35 (and you're Don Draper).

I think people often don't understand the position that MFA is coming from.

MFA is not for developing your own style. MFA is for people to tell you what to wear. It is advice, for male fashion. Period. That is essentially what it is and what it is there for.

With that said, many players in the MFA club are there looking for advice on their warddrobes because they're completely fucking lost with what to wear, so they immediately want something that will put them in an attractive position. MFA is there to reaffirm or redirect this belief.

However, anyone in the fashion industry will tell you that beyond wearing attractive clothing, style is what is most important. MFA is not about style - at least, not about your style. MFA exists to have others tell you what will look attractive on you. What is more important, though, is what you feel comfortable wearing. If you are not comfortable with what MFA suggests, it will affect your mood, your body language, etc. and can easily set you off as a less attractive male even if what you are wearing is attractive on you.

tl;dr disregard MFA, acquire personal style
