After months of reading material and trying to find the best way to approach a girl (overthinking) not knowing what to say, I finally got the courage to go in.

This girl walked pass me at the store (I'd say she was about a 9 with the mask on) and (of course) I started to feel anxious. I continued looking around the store while trying to figure out what should I say until I told myself 'just go there, say hi and tell her she looks nice or something'

And sure enough I did just that; her reactions:

1- she kinda laughed when I approached to say hi. She said I scared/surprised her a little. 2- as soon as I tried to continue the convo, she calmly turns 180° and walked away to some other aisle

So I stood there for about 3 seconds as she went to some other aisle. I gulped once, and walked to the cashier and went home.

My body language was probably bad and my habit of speaking in low volume probably kicked in at the worst time. I'm very bad at improvising on the spot.

I'm frustrated, talking to a complete stranger is hard, let alone an attractive woman.

I'm not giving up yet though, I hope next time I find a girl I want to approach I can at least do better than today.
