I wake up feeling confident this morning. As I browse for notebooks at an office supply shop, a very attractive girl starts browsing for notebooks nearby. My conscious repeatedly shouts "Talk to her!! Talk to her!!". After a minute of gathering up confidence, I blurt out jokingly "Picking a notebook isn't easy". She laughs. Good. She re-initiates conversation shortly after, and suggests a great notebook. We start talk about school. It's going great. As bidding farewell becomes inevitable, I ask for her # to take her out for a coffee. Boring, I know. "That sounds lovely..." she replies, "However, I don't think my boyfriend would appreciate that...". "Unfortunate.. Thanks for the notebook!" I say with a smile. I bid my farewell and leave to continue my day.

It's not my first approach, but I'm new to /r/seduction. Although I was rejected, it felt great to approach a girl. Optimistically thinking, I probably made her day! Now I'm just waiting for a successful pickup attempt...

TL;DR approached girl, got rejected, I feel great!
