Need advice on after-date text.

You don't have to wait. If you both had a nice time and you want to let her know that in a nice short text, she will appreciate it. I've done this on several occasions and it always went well.

Do whatever you want. I don't think it matters that much, with the caveat that if you take too long she will take it as a sign of disinterest and you'll lose attraction. Rather than thinking about it as a demonstration of your interest (or over-interest, perhaps, if that's your worry), it's probably more productive to think of it as a way of testing her interest.

If you text her that night and she replies immediately that's a strong IOI. The longer it takes her to reply the weaker the IOI.

I think the content is more important than the timing, honestly. If it was a good first date you should have plenty of material to call back to. The last date I was on we ended talking about how folks live closer to tragedy than they think. It's a morbid topic, I know, but it worked in context.

Anyhow, when I got home I told her I had fun and made a joke about avoiding any life-altering accidents. She replied early the next morning making a joke in return and asking me out for a second date.

Go with your gut. You should not always be worried about doing exactly what the PUA instructors would say. Once you have gotten as far as having a good date, just be yourself. If you want to tell her you had a good time, do it!

I would say wait till the next day (because you're a busy guy and your life doesn't revolve around her). When you do get around to texting her, keep it short, and let her know you enjoyed her company and want to see her again. (Or something to this effect) The point here is to show confidence and be assertive with what you want.

I would wait at least one day. Women are used to being chased so enjoy the perception of a challenge. But at the same time feeling secure and important.

I'd side with letting her know you had a good time and leave it there for a day or two until you ask her out again. She knows you enjoyed your time with and the no-text day(s) lets her know she's not your center of attention/life. Win-win.

No problem to send the text and then wait 2-3 days to hit her up again. Also, if you text her and she doesn't respond don't trip, it's all good. :)

Wait a day or two, then text her saying you had a nice time and suggest a new date (time and place already decided by you).
