Hey Seddit! Long time lurker in this sub and a beginner when it comes to flirting. I've implemented a lot of what I've read on this sub and it has worked out well for me. The girl in question is super cute (call her Jane) and most guys can't gather the balls to approach her (even the good looking guys). I am able to talk to her with little to no fear though. I'm not the most attractive guy (5 feet tall, decent face, kinda fat) but I can keep a good conversation going because of my sense of humour until another guy who has more attractive physical features joins the conversation. She seems to pay more attention to what he says even though he can't look into her eyes for more than a few seconds and just keeps looking around while on the other hand, I maintain good eye contact, open body language and occasionally look at her lips when she smiles or laughs (she does notice this and I've not got any signs of disinterest) She doesn't show any IOIs when interacting with the other guy or me but she is generally more open with him (and most of the time sits closer to him). She also doesn't see him as an option (me and Jane have a mutual best friend who assured me that Jane isn't into him. The best friend does not know I'm into Jane) I can't understand what I'm doing wrong. I would greatly appreciate it if Seddit can help me out with this! P.S she is the first girl I have flirted with but I can certainly say that I'm doing a much better job than other guys who have approached her.
