I’d say this isn’t that accurate. Neediness works in specific cases when applied to stereotypical scenarios. I know this because over the years I’ve become a stereotype so there’s expectations of the role for me to be needy at times. The important part is ‘when’ to be needy.
Most cases, for people who don’t understand neediness is a real thing, but in context should be broken down more. Often how people throw around that term neediness just indicates how many people are just labeling everything under bad and trying to forget it. Neediness is a specific notion to a relationship, usually indicate an imbalance. Think about where it falls into life scenarios where neediness is driving the story esp in movies / novels. Neediness is a survival tool, a way to call for help.
Anyways. Just saying I disagree with these reasons why. People follow like sheep when it comes to dating advice. Esp when you’re new, you don’t know what these terms actually means. The word neediness, there are needs, and in certain parts of life there are times where being needy is important. When applied to dating most people just get lazy and just pile things in terms of good or bad and don’t understand why because they’ve never looked at their emotional pallets to see what’s going on

Damn, this might be the best thing I've read in this subreddit. Don't feel appreciated with her/him?. That's right, you are needy and YOU NEED TO STOP! :D
No wonder people have mental health issues when shit like this is thrown around...
Please talk about your feelings people. Don't let anyone say that your feelings are not enough or that you are needy for voicing them, god damn it. If the person you’re dating doesn’t appreciate it or try to understand you, they weren’t meant for you, or anyone really.

Just don’t be overly needy. I can confirm this is a bad idea as I have lost like 3 friendships because I was too needy. Nobody likes dealing with a basket case of emotions.

Genuinely interested, could you elaborate more on your definition of "neediness" ?

Just don't be a obvious simp or constantly calling for clingyness like a yandere.
It's good to ask for help, but don't be like "please pamper me 24/7"
The fine line is somewhere between a dog and a cat is what I follow. Not too pushy, but not too distant either.

Neediness depending on the dynamic on what’s agreed to is rather a more blanketed term for needing comfort. It indicates one partner needing support. Support can be through validation. Attention. If you listen or read enough Reddit stories about break ups, divorce and cheating there are warning signs to a failing relationship that partners ignore. That is a level of neediness probably at the highest concern if that partner is willing to make a series of choices to betray a relationship. The cheater who is need makes up rules in their head and doesn’t disclose them and expects for the other partner to know who felt like they were ignored. When the seams start to break open you can see everyone’s dismissal and gaslighting. Often it’s a way of safely navigating trouble waters, but it’s the when people counter jealousy with disqualification there are red flags because neediness isn’t always direct.
In new relationships neediness is often defineted as which player showed their cards first. People often give up once this initial tension is broken, but confident people who don’t break their character have no problem admitting vulnerability. It’s how you use it. Those who don’t understand this label it neediness and don’t see the duality to neediness as life long relationships require transparency for neediness. I mean for loved ones, don’t you have emergency contacts to reach out to in a time of need? New people in your life just fall into a variation like a need for something new / new experiences. What justifies this is that people in our lives we don’t like to mix their roles, like who would want to mix the role of uncle, best friend lover and coworker? To maintain this balance is to clarify the needs and often it just has to be named, how you get to that point in conversation depends on you and that other person

I dont think you know what needy means. You misuse it in this a few times. In fact the whole thing.

Making eye contact with everybody you walk past is as premeditated and therefore needy as fuck as you can get. Someone who is not needy is in their own world not thinking about everyone around them unless someone worthwhile catches their attention.

By in my own world I don’t mean not being in the moment. I mean just doing your own thing, not constantly considering the need to be eyeing people off in the street or the supermarket or wherever you are. That shows every action you’re making in even a mundane situation is overly considered. Nobody likes overly considered people, you can’t relax around them, everything is calculated and fake, from their words to their actions. They have a stench of - what’s the word - neediness. The guys who slay, more often than not, in their words and their actions, just do. Being in the moment is actually exactly what I’m saying and what this guy is saying is not that at all.

I think you're misplacing the word needy with not bold/confident.
You don't need to look everyone in the eyes; unless you have business or something else with them.
Otherwise, great points.

I've always hated the "walk this way" kinds of advice. Most people who follow these just look like they're compensating for something. Imagine being so insecure and in need of validation that you micromanage your walk to give a false impression to others who might not even know you exist. Even if these people are hiding it well, just walking however you wanna walk because you don't give a fuck what other people think is a better mindset to have.

Adding on For tip1 and 2. I learnt from YouTube Teachingmen'sfashion that the speed should like like the speed of honey pouring out of the jar.
It's coming. Not too slow not too fast. And everything is damn. I use that advice for my pace in walking, talking and when moving my hands for stuff.
Takes a bit of practice to consistently get that pace right and when to speed up a bit (like picking a pencil or something) and mixing it with your vibe of relaxing.

Trying to act tough and making someone think you’re too independent to need them is a turn off too. When people are too busy thinking “ I better not do this don’t want to appear desperate “ follow the three day no call rule is all BS and played out, they’re busy doing it not because that’s how they are but more Like they want to impress someone and want them to think you’re different.

Making eye contact with everyone you walk past is low-key some serial killer shit. I hate being stared at by strangers. Make eye contact when engaging in a conversation not like you’re plotting to find your next victim

Neediness automatically manifests in form of tonality and subtle body language

Slow voice down but don't lose energy or attention. Get excited and encourage excitement but finish the excitement with a conclusion and smooth transition to another topic to avoid akward moments. Always keep and eye out for the opportunity to attach your women's pleasant thoughts, emotions and experiences to YOU! That way you don't have to do anything but enjoy each other's company and she will be stimulated and joyful.
