So for most of my life, I was very awkward. Not only was I awkward, but I was fat, clearly didn't take care of myself, had a bad sense of fashion, bad personality, etc. I was also a "nice guy".

Over the years, I've worked on myself a lot. I lost 80 pounds, have visible muscle mass, I can run quite a lot, I'm emotionally mature (this has been my main focus the past four months or so), I dress well, I take care of myself, and I'm far more outgoing.

Despite these massive improvements, I feel like people are trolling me when they show interest so I tend to just dance around it and pretend like it doesn't exist, so then they usually feel rejected and move on. It might be because people used to place bets on asking me out as a joke in HS but I don't really know.

I've messed up so many good opportunities, here's just a few recent ones:
- Met a woman at a concert who was talkative, smiled at me constantly, played with her hair, and said she wants to see me at more concerts and I simply said "Yeah I go to a lot, we'll see" then left.
- A friend sent a picture of me to somebody we went to HS with and they were shocked, asked if I was single, added me on insta and I just wasn't making an effort to talk.
- Met up with somebody from HS that I hadn't seen since graduation in 2015, she couldn't believe the difference either. We hung out for 4 hours, she was pretty touchy then invited me back to her place to watch a movie and drink wine with her and I declined.

I don't know what I need to do to not shy away from such obvious things like this. I'm 26 and haven't kissed a girl, never even been kissed on the cheek. I have no problems approaching women at clubs but when interest is reciprocated, I'm like "Oh shit" and totally flip the script. Has anybody else experienced this and if so, how did you fix it?
