The problem with some people here is becoming blind and seeing the seduction process like a competitive game between you and the girl, where we see every action as a "shit test" and we try to not fail in any of them to be accepted by the girl as valuable man.
The whole idea around shit tests is shit by itself and when she ask us for a simple favor like getting her some water for example, we just act rude thinking we are all cool but actually we start acting as douches.
As I said, it depends. There are contexts where she trusts you to ask you to help her with her shoes, there are others where she is trying to mock you, and so on... It's not binary and the best way to pass all these "shit tests" is just forget they exists at all and act as the man you want to become normally. You will pass all these tests without even noticing them =)

Very true. It depends on the girl too. Some will test more than others. But as a general rule of thumb, girls will test more at the earlier stages of meeting you than the later stages. It's important to keep that in mind

This girl I was good friends with in high school tried this on me. I didn't fall for it. Something about kneeling down before her and tying her shoe in front of everyone doesn't seem manly at all. Either A: you're totally whipped like the 20 other guys trying to get at her, B: you've been friendzoned to the point of no return, C: you're a total bitch with no spine, that will do anything she asks, or D: you're just a super sweet guy who wants a long term relationship. I was neither of those.
