So I guess I was just nice guy'd for the first time by a girl I was really into. We met on tinder and went on a few dates. I had the opportunity to sleep with her, but at the time it was late, I was tired, and I didn't see the need to jump into sex because I thought we had such good chemistry that it would run it's course. Also, when I have sex with a girl the first date, by my track record, we have never gotten back together. This is the type of girl I'd like to be with a little more seriously.

However, Something changed. On our fourth date we had a short meet up, and she had to go do some errands. This surprised me. Next morning however, she reached out to me and flirted a bit through texting, so I decided things went well despite still not getting past the kissing stage. I asked her out again - she just started training for a new job while also keeping her old one and going to school. It was a busy week she said. I should have trusted my gut feeling on this one. I would have made time in my week to see her, so at this point I'm noticing a drop in interest. I keep asking, about once a week for a month. Getting some random cold vibes, but sometimes some really flirty ones too.

Finally, she says yes, but flakes on a party I invited her to. Whatever, it would have been kind of weird anyway. This whole time I've been talking to another girl, and actually went on a date with her. Kissed and stuff but nothing serious. I was trying to avoid the feeling of oneitis and it was working. I re-framed myself as the prize and she responded well to this.

At some point, I realized every time I reached out to her, I would be a little too casual. Things like "hey, let's hang out" must make it seem like all I wanted was sex. I figured this would be my last shot, if she's still too busy, then she's not interested any more. I ask her out to dinner. She pretty much said, if she wasn't busy this weekend then she'd "love to".
Complete with a well placed smiley face.

So that was early in the week, I decide not to text her until the weekend, because I was busy Friday playing a concert. See the night before, she posted on my facebook wall (what's weird about this is, besides adding her as a friend, there has been no interaction through this medium, even 'likes') a picture of something 100% referencing our second (and best) date. Super cute.

So of course I reach out to her, and once again, am shot down because she's busy.
This time, I decide to be a little more persistent in a fun way, and try to set up another day.

After 5 hours of silence I get a "I'm just not interested in going".

I know what this means, and if I had received this response weeks ago, I would have gotten over it relatively quickly. I ask her why she wasn't up front before, and I get the whole "I'm not interested in a relationship, I'm busy, I don't want a boyfriend" type thing. She says she didn't want to hurt my feelings. I respect her telling me up front, but I have no respect for her not telling me sooner.

Also very confused why she thought I was looking for a relationship. I don't know how I gave off the boyfriend vibe, but she was definitely giving off the vibe that she wanted a boyfriend. I was sexual, I would say things that eluded to us having sex and she seemed receptive. What was with the random wall post and flirty texting? Why say yes, you'd LOVE TO go to dinner and then when the time comes say you have no interest in going? What did I do from date 4 and onwards to have her lose interest? I guess I appeared too needy (through text? how?), or maybe she found someone else. I'm just totally blindsided because I've never been lead on this hard - and after having some awesome dates where afterwards she seemed to be in the palm of my hand because of the experience. Has anyone ever gotten with a girl after her saying something like this?

Anyways, it's time to move on, but I'd appreciate some insight so this won't happen again in the future.
