In my experience, under any circumstances, if I make courting or setting romantic encounters with women as my conscious goal, I fail miserably; if not due to psyching myself out, then it is the cheesiness that comes out of my mouth and non-verbal gestures which literally fails me every time (they see right through this and leave). I seem to passively attract women when I set out to do something else that simply involves being in the company of women, e.g. actually looking forward to learning yoga when attending yoga class, going to bar to socialize, not to score...etc. Under these circumstances, I'm much more comfortable being social, funny, and my personality shows for itself. I'm wondering if this is normal for most folks, if not the rule for success with people and relationships in general.
