That's an interesting question, I feel most men avoid women with kids like the plague. First and foremost, she probably figure out if the baby's daddy still in the picture. After that if you're at all decent at cold approach of women without children I don't see the difference of going after a woman with a child. of course you introduce yourself to the woman and to her children if they're old enough to respond.

I’d say just be friendly and say hi, make it known you’re interested like you would if they didn’t have their kids with them. Definitely don’t say anything inappropriate in front of kids but if you’re interested, go for it.

It is no different than picking up without kids. Do what you are doing.

However, you can't know if she is a single mom, most of the time the bf, the husband is lurking somewhere around.

So, try to figure out what she is doing at this moment and if he is still in a picture as soon as possible. Otherwise, is just a waste of time.

Often, bf/husband. Will join the conversation out of sudden. Just say "hello" to him and explain why you are talking to her. Usually, I just go with "Hi. I was just telling your gf/wife what she has nice hair.". Say "have a nice day" and just leave. There is no point to talk anymore.
