I have been single for 6 months or so after a long-term relationship and have gone out with and slept with a few women since. I joined a dance class and met my last FWB there. I chatted with her for like 10 minutes during the social dance and then asked her to get a drink sometime and it worked out great.

Anyway, tonight same thing. Met a girl and we danced and later I walked up to her table and started chatting with her. The conversation went well and as it was wrapping up I asked her to grab and drink sometime, and she said she had a "partner". I'm like " No worries at all, Just had to shoot my shot. It was nice chatting" and left.

I feel badass for going after a hot chick that made me nervous and kinda like a dumbass for not reading the signs right. I thought I had IOI's (smiling at me on the dance floor, laughing and asking questions when we chatted), but I guess she was just being friendly. Normally I would wait to establish a rapport with her over multiple weeks but she said she doesn't get to dance often so I felt a sense of urgency. Maybe I should still have waited.

I am not sure how often I will see her but how do you handle being around women post-rejection? Obviously I am going to be nice and friendly to her, but I don't want to be labeled a creep as I want to keep using dance class to meet women.
