It's good advice, but also pretty basic: essentially it's "don't put the pussy on the pedestal." Maybe I was like that once-I really can't recall-but I think most men find this difficult to really integrate into their behavior or mind. It's perhaps easy to say and difficult to do. But that's why practice is important, and why I think it's a great idea to just go out and say lame shit to strike out and get comfortable with it. Even though our modern PC world makes that seem riskier, they've also made it more necessary than ever.

If you do find it difficult advice to follow, really think about all the privilege women have relative to yourself, and how many terrible things women do in just an ordinary day without criticism or deterrence (indeed, they're often encouraged to act bad; many girls intentionally act bitchy, for example, like it's part of their personality or they have a default right to do so. "Strong," to many women, means "bitchy asshole") from 99% of our society.

Fallacies at work in analogy of lion and pig (at least in the context of how it was discussed - I havent read source of info/analogy and that is why I wanted to know what the book was):

In re: to analogy - 1. Dicto simpliciter (sweeping generalization/stereotype) 2. Argumentum and antiquitatum (appeal to tradition i.e. traditional/antiquated gender roles) 3. Non sequitur (it does not follow- i.e. reasoning for role and result of having more success with women) 4. Argumebtum and numerum (argument appeal to numbers) That is the case here unless scientific research was done with imperical evidence/unbiased data.

Fallacies in terms of commentors response to my questioning/comments about the whole thing:

I disagree slightly. I think the following is the best stance to have:

Know that you are a catch
know that she is a catch

I think we run into problems when we start seeing dating as: I am not worthy, or she is lucky.

Instead, the most confident stance you can come from is being solid and loving within yourself, then also treating whoever your object of desire is with kindness. There is no better than or less than.

I get worried when people say that "nice guys come last." As a woman who is moderately attractive, I really like nice guys... a guy who is confident within themselves and then kind to me. I do not, however, like pushovers... that is the anti-pune is shows a lack of self-worth.
