I could have PM'd, but to me this is actually important. So I wanted to allow anyone to see what's inside. There's also too many venues to copy/paste this so..here goes. Read my TL;DR while noticing the size of this post if you want the details.

To outsider's, this is connected to a discussion here. Form your opinions here.

From the post:

My understanding of LMR is that a girl might put out resistance to sex for many reasons. The only way I've ever dealt with LMR (I believe) is to respectfully show a girl if she didn't want to have sex, I was OK with it. I didn't expect anything out of her. Whatever she is comfortable with [...]The general result was that the "LMR" disappeared and these girls jumped my bones. Seemingly because I was so genuinely chill about the whole thing and I respected her.

I hope I quoted enough to leave the context intact.

Based upon the quote above, would anyone agree that

Not every girl who says no means it?

I say that meaning this: was it not in the case of the poster above (but not his alone), when he backed off, some girls DID end up having sex with him? He did say there was resistance for various reasons. If the female ended up having sex with him, could it be possible that one of them was NOT because she did not want to have sex with him?

My point being then, that breaking LMR does not relate to rape, because in cases like these, LMR has nothing to do with unwanted sex. Therefore it is possible to have consensual sex even after last minute frustration, because there are other issues that prevent people from consenting into having sex, besides the desire of the said action itself.

Another quote from the same post above.

Would I still continue to do the stuff she was already ok with like kissing, cuddling, rubbing, ect if she had only said no to sex. Sure? Why not, unless of course she also showed resistance to doing those things too. Would I pressure her to do anything more, or even into those things at all? No.

So 2 facts to put out there, and then some points for my case.

1) I'm sure she said it ("no") plenty of times, but it still happened. That emboldened statement in the quote above may possibly be discussed, if ever the trial were to happen, and the defenders will grill this female on just that notion in the quote.

2) Not all females get raped that easily. Apologies for being so blunt. If this goes to trial, the female in question will endure possible much worse suffering. That does not explain why I was blunt though, and should not be seen as my excuse.

2a) This (below) is what I think happened to what you see now in the comments.

Sub-thought: Are females always easier to victimize, legitimately or not, and thus (IMO) receive that pity/more attention for being one?

  • I'm not quick to blame the guy for what may have been miscommunication, as you've already experienced. I just can't believe that many females are going through relationships were the SO forces themselves upon these women, and the women think this is normal. (There was a post like this in the main topic) Is this the actual problem?

Sub-thought: Should there be more education on what rape is and rape prevention?

  • I'm not blaming the girl for whatever reason she allowed this act to continue, whether it was her choice to allow it, or she was forced to allow it (considering her psychological state as a result of being with this man from her past experiences up to and including this event as well).

It's much more than what you've read...if this is as serious as anyone claims, THEN I don't know why anyone cannot see that.

I bring this here not to make the threads go off-topic, but I just dropped in to let you know I hope this adds more proof of how unqualified we are in this moment to make a fair judgement call for what everyone say is a serious issue.

TL;DR If you think this is too much discussion, then it further proves my case. Had you read, IF you skipped here, you'd know my stance.

Stay out of what you think to be of a serious matter. We need less people like Lamar Smith handling our business. If you know about SOPA/PIPA and Smith's experience with the internet, you see the relevance
