I will try to keep this short. I have only recently started to come out my shell, putting myself out there. I've been in many relationships, a number of them disasters. Since then I have been taking care of myself. Have been sober almost 6 years, going to the gym, started a business, etc. - Only thing I'm working on now is getting a bachelor pad.
I had a recent experience where I could have easily gotten laid. I played all my cards right throughout the day with this chick, and at some point I fucked up. It was something small and stupid, but also enough to sabotage the whole thing.
I also felt like I genuinely liked this girl, so I dealt with the following: Feeling like shit about myself because I didn't close the deal, and becoming sentimental about our experience and wanting to still get to know her better (attachment).
One thing that crosses my mind is this idea of an abundance mindset, which I see a lot in this sub. Often when I meet someone that I like and I feel a connection, suddenly no other women exist in the world.
I would just really like to hear about your experience, how you have dealt with some of your hiccups along the way, how you stay comfortable in your own skin through the trials, and perhaps some of the pitfalls you avoid that lead to attachment/oneitis.
Thank you.
