Last night was Valentine's Day, ripe for the picking. I was walking around this bar and there's a girl standing there mildly into the music. This girl's friend was dancing nearby. The girl and I exchange a look and I decide to just to start dancing on her. She plays along and we're dancing/grinding/etc... There's a pack of guys nearby and two incidents happen that piss me off a bit now:

  • One of the guys manages to come up with some non-sequitur question like, "Were you a male cheerleader in Texas?" I was so confused that I, like a doofus, stop dancing with my girl just to figure out the what fuck he is saying. Yes, I'm a still pissed with myself for not ignoring him. Let this be a lesson to you.

  • Somehow this guy a foot taller than me maneuvers himself into stealing my girl from me as I dance with her. I grab onto her but he basically pulls harder than me. I let go at the point that the force being applied is absurd. I stand there gaping like an idiot and compliment the guy on being a good wingman to the guy. He maintains innocence, claiming he's never me the guy before. I'm thinking to myself, come on guy, at least man up and admit it.

Thoughts/suggestions/similar experiences?

EDIT: Unfortunately, it was the end of the night. I had all of 5 minutes or so to try anything because Boston has a bedtime.
