Do you just straight up use the word date? Something like "I'm doing x at y, if you're free join me. It'll be a date". I feel like thats a bit forceful.

I was thinking something like "I'm doing x at y. If you're free join me. We can get to know each other a bit more and see if we click on the date". Idk if this is too "beta" or "needy". Personally i would say its not very needy since the vibe is that im going to go regardless and im just asking if she wants to join me and in the process get to know each other more (Also I'm not looking for hookup, more ltr)

What I like about it is it acknowledges the fact that asking someone who you've talked to for like 3 mins on a date is a bit non standard. We do this by sort of defining a date as something you go on to see if you click and like each other. I feel like some girls - especially those that don't date as often - have a glorified view of a date as something you go on after you've spent some time getting to know each other and vibe well. I feel this this second version has a better shot with getting girls to say yes and it frames it as a date. And I think that's important as people probably have subconscious ideas of what's okay for a date - ie it should be easier to flirt and escalate touches.
