I was told by one friend from a hobby group that a girl that I have tried to get with was asking her about me, but I think that my response (“ball is in her court”) might’ve gotten misinterpreted for not being interested and I’m thinking she relayed that around.

Is there any way in which I could use their urge to gossip to my advantage? Should I avoid it? How can I ‘save’ this?
