If you've had sex with more than a handful of women, there's a pretty good chance you already have HPV. You get a couple warts and then they go away and that's it. I got it about a decade ago, barely noticed it, put some apple cider vinegar on them, and they went away never to return.

HSV is a bit worse, but still way overblown. It's becoming much more prevalent, but it's not nearly as big a deal as you think it is. Many people never have outbreaks, and others just get a single outbreak and never hear from it again. If you get regular outbreaks, there are very effective drugs out there that suppress them. Again, there's a chance you already have this and just don't know about it.

Besides that, you're probably going to run into chlamydia / gonorrhea. These suck and will make you miserable for a couple days, but are easy to cure. That said, they are becoming much more resistant to antibiotics which is pretty scary.

Wear a condom. Other than that, it's just a calculated risk that you take. Use your judgement to see if it's worth it or not. Other stds are curable. Hpv, I'm not really worried about because it seems rare in men. Hsv, or herpes as some may call it, hsv honestly isn't that bad. Hsv1, which are the cold sores on the mouth , slot of people already have it. Some 40-70%. Hsv2, the ones on your genitals, you can take a pill and it should go away and only get an outbreak every once in awhile. You can still spread it when in remission though, keep that in mind. More of a stigma issue.

Use condoms (obviously) and COCONUT OIL.

You can rub coconut oil on your cock before sex. Coconut oil is a natural anti-microbial.

Uh, Condoms do protect against Herpes. Did you Hep B? Because Condoms are not very effective at preventing HPV and Hep B. Granted, there are Hep B vaccines, and I know I had to have my Hep B vaccine to go to public schools. And HPV is more of a concern for women, which is why the have also developed the HPV vaccines for women.
