A girl is texting you and suddenly she takes longer to reply and you think she leaves you on delivered on purpose to piss you off or because she is not interested, when from her perspective she just had to do other things or maybe she simply wanted more time to respond or simply forgot because she gets distracted or has a mood swing.
You jump to conclusions because you believe people are glued on their phones and have to respond immediately or if they were interested they would make time for you because it only takes like 5 seconds.
The thing, is that it doesn’t matter if you think all it takes is 5 seconds to reply, because people respond when they want to, not when you think they should according to your subjective expectations of how other people should act if they are interested.
Because this is the problem, that you have this type of “protocol” on your head that says:
“Someone being interested = they have to reply in less that X amount of time, or find any space to text back as it only takes 5 seconds” "Someone not being interested = they take hours to reply"
This is not a universal rule as much you want to pretend it should be.
You don't worry about how long your friends or family take to text you, but with girls you like you do... Interesting huh?
Notice also that you don't think loike this when you are with male friends. You don't actually measure how long a male friend took to text you, you only feel thiis anxious and annoyed when a girl takes her time.
Why is it that you don't give a fuck when your family members or male friends might take all the time in the world to text back and you don't even doubt for a second that they are still your friends or that your family still loves you, but with a girlyou like you feel uneasy and start thinking she lost interest or that she is wasting your time? Just something to think about.
There are many reasons girls who are interested in you can take long to respond
She can see your message and refuse to respond immediately because they might not know how to reply to an specific text you send in that moment. She can be busy and want to concentrate on what she is doing in that moment, so even if she had tim, not being distracted during their focus time was a bigger priority in that moment.
She might have other matters to attend to like arguments, exams, chores, obligations, gym sessions, baby sitting job, or friends that demand her attention.
And even if she is online you should know that being online does not mean they are sitting in front of the device or computer. The chat can be online and yet it's sitting on the background while they are doing other thigns. And even if they are texting someone it doesn't mean that your conversation or your texts requires an immediate response if it's not an important thing what you texted or even a fun thing to talk about.
Your ego wants to believe you should be more important to her if she was interested
Your ego gets in the way and thinks "i should be more improtant, she should make me a priority always" but that's just your ego talking. A person can be interested in you and that doesn't mean they have to make you their biggest priority. Heck you shouldn't even make a girl who isn't even your girlfriend your biggest priority in life...
And even if she was your girlfriend she still should not be your main priority even if you think that's what a good boyfriend does, because that's just unhealthy and can easily lead to your girl taking you for granted.
Texting styles can vary from person to person, there is no unviersal standard of how someone should text if they are interested.
You need to accept that people’s behaviors are influenced by moods, insecurities, distractions, cultural differences, attraction levels, stress from work, and sometimes just random impulses. So expecting them to act with mechanical consistency is like expecting the weather to follow your personal calendar, like it just doesn’t work that way.
People do not behave according to some type of universal etiquette rule book on texting neither, and your problem comes from the belief that people should be predictable and consistent because deep down what you want is to get some sense of control and safety.
You are afraid of uncertainty and of being vulnerable, but vulnerability and unceritanty are an inherent part of dating.
Your anger with her texting behaviour is about you trying to seek certainty because you are scared to be wasting your time, afraid of investing in someone and getting nothing in return and not having guarantees that the outcome you want will not be realized. Hence you try to script how thigns should unfold and try to measure things that cannot actually be measured.
And of course you will say "well i don't want to waste my time, i want guarantees", but it doesn't work like that. No matter how much you want humans to act like robots who promise specific outcomes to you and deliver on them every single time, it just doesn't work like that. You have a problem with reality if you can't accept that predectibility in humans is not a standard, when in reality unpredictability is the human default.
One advice to follow to avoid getting so invested in one girl where you don't have any guarantees is to invest in more girls, instead of one by one, that way you don't put all your eggs in one basket and if one thing doesn't work at least you have other options.
That's what women do by the way and it's quite smart as it reduces anxiety a lot since you are spreading your investment evenly instead of going all in in one particular super volatile stock/crypto.
What you need is to stop trying to measure how someone feels about you based on texting
You will always get it wrong, lead to false assumptions, and show neediness and annoy women that like you, into not liking you because of how controlling, insecure and needy you are about their texting habits.
You are trying to avoid uncertainty, and sorry but uncertainty is an unavoidable part of dating. If you can't make peace with the fact that you cannot have guarantees in dating and being ok with not having clarity about where you stand with others, then sorry but dating and life in general doesn't bend to that dream.
The only guaranteed thing in dating is the lack of guarantees. So the only thing you can do to remain unperturbed is to spread your emotional investment in more girls so that if one doesn't work out you remain calm because you still have other great options available.
