A few friends and myself were talking and the topic of relationships popped up where I, regrettably, began talking about my last blunder of a 2 week fling. One of the topics of this conversation was about my formal expression and presentation of myself (especially with my vocabulary) and how it was ultimately the downfall of said fling. More importantly, I brought up a scenario that the woman and myself shared during one of our dates where she asked me if I have swag? I politely and confidently explained that I don't consider myself as someone who has swag, but someone who has class.

This is where a friend began to argue that my response to her question wasn't the best thing to say since it makes me come across as someone who is essentially arrogant and conceited. I disagreed with his argument as I view the term class, or the idea of having class, as a person who presents him/herself in a respectful manner as well as someone who dresses well. Swag on the other hand, is a term that I feel has an immature connotation to it, used by celebrities to describe their questionable appearance with their pants half way down their legs.

What are your thoughts? Is one of the two better or worse than the other, or is it nothing more than an expression of one's self?
