Everything I know about girls tells me I'm getting the why is he texting me abrupt treatment, probably followed by the lol no I'm not doing that but I totally am cover-up. Wait you literally sent that as a text message to her? If so, that is a very bad text. Sounds desperate, confused, needy, semi-angry, and somewhat incoherent.

Doesn't matter how long you've known her, you should ask her out the same way. Don't just send "coffee?" ever, it makes it seem like you are not doing anything, and her chances of accepting immediately are somewhat low.

You should have sent her the standard "come meet me for drinks at [bar] tomorrow at [8]!"

Given her response, I would say "enjoy your time with [friend], I'll hit you up later." Then tomorrow late afternoon ask her out for the following day.

Honestly your chance of making something happen with a girl you've known that long is pretty low, especially since you've waited FOUR WEEKS since making out with her. You always have to strike while the iron is hot.

Read up all the basic stuff on Seddit and apply it.

I can't believe you actually sent that. You basically freaked out on her and acted like she has some kind of obligation to drop everything and see your lame ass the instant you send her a one-word text. She's just trying to hang out with her friend dude. You need to chill the fuck out.

Dude, the first text didn't start out well. Just saying "Coffee?" does not give anything. I used this today. "I am free at ten today, want to grab coffee at blank". I admit that probably was not the best text, but I gave more details than yours.

Your second text is WTF man. I am going to join in with the bashing of this text. You are not important enough for a girl to drop everything and come have coffee with you. If a girl has plans so what, people have plans all the time.

Because she has known you for 6 years and felt obligated to respond. You're really diminishing attraction in her eyes. If she has already made up her mind to sleep with you, you MAY still have a shot, but you've got a lot of work to do at this point.

You've basically chop blocked yourself. Now if you try to look aloof or busy, ie an in demand commodity, you look butt hurt and whiney, not stoic and alpha.
