I’m not a dating guru, I’m not here to self aggrandize.
I’m a guy who has happened to obtain what most would call a successful dating life.
I’m not rich or tall or wildly good looking.
I’ve helped a lot of my guy friends have much better dating lives.
I’m not selling a course, consulting or anything at all, this is just my thoughts on a lot of dating advice I see.

The advice that I think isn’t great, is dogmatic advice that tries to get everyone to be some version of something that worked for the person giving advice.

We don’t all need to be James Bond, I don’t need you to be 6ft and suave. I need you to be a really attractive version of yourself. If you’re a nerdy guy, do not lose that unless you want to for some reason.

So many different types of people can have success in dating but you need to make sure you’re not falling into someone else’s framework and leaving your own behind.

The dating advice that is good falls into two categories.

  1. Advice that fixing weak spots we all have. We’re all born into this world with a wide range of traits. Advice like having better hygiene, fashion, etc - all helps. This is like the RPG equivalent of getting your low stats up.
  2. Highly customized advice. This advice is largely someone who understands your appeal, niche and individuality. This requires someone to be culturally aware and so many other factors.

Now, that advice might come from A/B testing your own theories, approaches, etc, it might come from helpful friends. It might even be from therapists or potentially a dating coach for all I know. However, it should be tailored to your strengths first and foremost.

TLDR: Dating advice can be great but don’t forget you’re an individual. That individuality is in my opinion, what makes someone really attractive.
