You are making it too complex. It's very simple.

Pickup is about objectifying behaviors, not about objectifying people. We try to objectively observe behaviors of both men and women.

if you're good at pickup, it doesn't look like pickup. It's not uncommon for exes to tell me that they liked me since I was just genuine and cool and etc, and really don't like those pickup artists who try to come up to her to talk to her. ohh reallyyy?

Anyways, anyone who's having a problem with this isn't good at pickup.

The reality is that, as men, it's in our DNA to objectify women. We see an attractive woman, we want to fuck them. It's no different to seeing a sandwhich and wanting to eat it.

People just don't want to accept this is fact, but at the end of the day, we are animals. And we live in a culture where sex is thrown in our faces 24/7, which doesn't help.

Agreed, Tony. This sub has, unfortunately like the community as a whole, trended more towards picking up women as of late and moving away from what I thought was the positive trend of becoming more about male/self improvement. This trend, coupled with guys with little to no training who go out trying to emulate Simple Pickup, is the cause of this perception. Additionally, there is a big misunderstanding about what we do. Things like "women don't know what they want, so always be leading," or "females love a guy to make the first move so constantly escalate" can sound threatening to certain individuals if taken out of context. Plus, "ALL PUAS ARE RAPISTS!" makes for a better headline than "Normal Guys Helping Normal Guys Get Laid." Really though, the community as a whole brings this upon themselves when we're all grouped in together.

In my mind, perfect pickup starts from within; deciding that YOU deserve the girl. When that switch is flipped, guys are ready to be honest with themselves and begin making changes in their lives for the better. Things like, "you've got to say this" or "10 simple tricks to lay any girl," while great in the short run, tend to be toxic in the long. Then there are ideologies like the "Red Pill" community which are something else completely.

Truthfully, I don't know what the solution is. But I do know that as long as there are honest instructors such as yourself out there highlighting the "good" aspects of pickup, we'll be all right. Thanks again for posting this.
