I think you probably could. You might have better luck in Europe or South America than Asia. Europe and South America being black won't be completely alien like in Asia, but you still get the being American thing working for you. Asia has a thing about light skin being better (don't ask me why), and most of Asia in my experience is (compared to the west) really racist, but their racism is also different.

Flaunt your socioeconomic status in how you speak and carry yourself. A balck guy who is as afluent and cultured as an ahem "white guy" is like double dipping on the foreign scale.

Imagine if a girl had that uneducated cockney girl accent that's kinda sexy but was actually really smart.

I have experienced some kind of racism while traveling but not too bad. You will be okay, I mostly hooked up with other travelers from Europe and Australia. Asians tend to be racist but from my experience in Japan the women were generous to help you out. They find black men exotic, which I find cool lol. I was called a monkey in Thailand hahaha which did not even get to me because I expected it.

I actually just came back from 3 weeks in Europe, and I fit your description of not "urban" or "ghetto".

In Germany, people sometimes stare. But take this with a grain of salt. I've been working out for 8 years, so I'm pretty muscular, and it's not easy to tell if they're staring because I'm black or because I'm muscular (lifting weights isn't nearly as popular overseas as it is in America). From what I hear, German girls love black guys, and I can believe it. I couldn't really hit on any due to situations I won't get into, but I got a LOT of attention on Tinder and OKCupid.

Italy was even worse with the staring. It was unbelievable. I remember one guy I saw on a train ride. Dude stared at me like he was gonna have to draw me from memory afterwards. 10 minute train ride, he might have looked away twice. The girls there didn't seem to look at me with too much interest, though.

Amsterdam and Berlin are some pretty huge, multicultural cities, and they seemed very receptive to people no matter where they were from or what they looked like.

In all those places, though, a vast majority of the black guys I saw could be described as "urban" or "ghetto". So, I think guys like us would do well regardless, because we're exotic in the sense that we're not white, but still different than most other black guys in how we speak and act.

I don't know how it is in whole Europe but I'm black and live in Germany and your game should be actually pretty good here. Mine is. I love this country and actually see it as my homeland. The people here are really cool and I can tell you that your game is going to be good since most Germans even except me to be characteristically like an Afro-American. So you even being one should be great here.

I live in West Germany though. Dodge East Germany because a lot of people there are racist.

Latin America you should kill it for sure, Europe should be good (youd be surprised how well you'll do in the Netherlands though, having dark skin just adds to the exotic effect). Asia seems like it would be harder but I cant say for sure

Hmmmm, kind of. But not quite.

Being "exotic" can bring attention and make opening easier. It can also grease the wheels a bit if you're dealing with someone who's looking to check "American black guy" off their list.

But it will not "get you" a girl. Not quite. Attention, yes.

What if you're an African American who doesn't have the "urban" or "ghetto" accent and speaks with the general American accent?

Doesn't matter. Someone will be into your whole vibe, no matter where you go. It's all a matter of percentages and you can't tell until you get in there, really.

Results will vary. In Asia, they're racist against black people. So it will be tricky there. But even in Asia, there are those girls who rebel against the culture and love hooking up with black guys.

But often, game transcends race.

You absolutely can give off that aura, even in Asia. I've been to Taiwan, China, and Korea and have had a lot of success in those areas on Tinder and in person simply because being black is a rarity so you evoke curiousity that you can leverage.

As with anywhere, be bold and initiate interactions. Go to areas with expats as well to help maximize your chances of meeting girls who tend to be actively seeking out foreigners. You will get stared at a lot in Shanghai but it's with curiousity, not disgust (some girls would ask me, a black guy, for selfies). It can be a little tough to game when someone isn't extremely fluent in English but treat that as an opportunity to work on non-verbal communication, which is far more valuable in most contexts anyway and a universal language.
